No Man's Sky

I'm just over 19 hours in now according to GOG Galaxy. Still enjoying the game a lot due to how magnificent the planets can be, and because the Atlas path story is picking up decently. I must say though - it REALLY bugs me that every system has other spaceships and a trade station, and that every planet has so many civilization remnants and outposts. Basically kills the idea of exploring the unexplored.

My point well said, This is not a NMS love fest, but well....It is awesome

So all you saying it is bad, did you ever think there is some that gets the game.. and some that would not?

Well put!

In the video above your post, Jimquisition finds the game 'pedestrian'. Now that's his opinion and he's welcome to it, but I disagree - It's a game I can get lost in! We were joking last night on the PS Party - 'the game might only be 4gb big, but we'll use up 20gb with screenshots/videos'

Yes there have been some minor annoyances with issues like game crashing when you come across a specific multi-tool upgrade or pop-in's causing slightly more fuel to be spent because you didn't exactly land your ship at the ship-call-beacon-thing, but for every crash I receive 10-15+ hours of enjoyable gaming

Reading Sean's twitter has been amusing

It is a testament to how amazing our network coders are that Discoveries are still working at all.

For instance over night we hit 10 million species discovered in NMS... that's more than has been discovered on earth.
WHAT IS GOING ON!!!

I'm enjoying the game but man that video that I posted makes me laugh every time.

That...that creature is simply... majestic :D

I haven't come across the voxel system bugging out that badly yet

Scam artist calls him at 12min43secs, lol.

It's not the same, he gets a lot more specific. WAB is fast becoming my most trusted reviewer

He certainly doesn't hold back on his opinion...or the swear words. Had me laughing at some of his chirps.

TotalBiscuit's 40min take on the hype,

Was expecting little and even so the game managed to disappoint. It is not at all the game we were sold. Feels like an alpha missing a ton of features.

The most fun I've gotten out of the game thus far is from fanboys crying about 'haters'.

Yeah, I've played Subnautica to death already. Waiting for the full release now.

This made my whole week :crylaugh:

Why Isn't it Called No Woman's Sky?

For those of you who have spent the past week wondering why Jezebel has not yet published a review of the long-awaited PC/console game No Man’s Sky, allow us to explain ourselves: we find the name of this “first person space travel” game to be distasteful, offensive, and shamelessly anti-feminist.

Jezebel will not be reviewing—or even playing—No Man’s Sky. In a game that claims to take place inside “an infinite procedurally generated galaxy,” there should be more than enough room for equality.

No, it's not a joke, they are 100% serious.
