Steam must be receiving a lot of refund requests, I noticed the No Man's Sky store page now has a note at the top: "The standard Steam refund policy applies to No Man's Sky. There are no special exemptions available. Click here for more detail on the Steam refund policy.". Doesn't really inspire confidence...
Personally I think Steam's 2 hours thing is a bit flawed, some games can be played entirely in 2 hours and and some barely get started. They should be a bit more fluid based on the perceived length of the game - although that would also be tricky with sandbox type games...
Yeah. I got Witcher 3 and was loving it. 8 hours in (so barely getting started in the game) I get to the 2nd big open area and the physics engine bugs out. It becomes impossible to run or I just fall into the map...basically the game becomes unplayable.
I asked for a refund anyway, but Steam just ignored and deleted the request. Maybe I could have restarted the game and it would have been ok the second time, but yeah...I wan't inspired with confidence.
Overall I still felt ripped off, because I didn't get what I was promised (even if I did get 8 hours of playtime out of it)
Not a perfect analogy though.. Axe's lie is that they never mentioned it only works for 5 mins after a shower. NMS lied about game features that were never part of the release product. Big difference. I'm still loving the game though, lies and all
