Dear Vodacom, please find the nearest horse turd and suck on it!!!

This morning I blew R50 on data because I was under the impression my bundle only expires tonight. I did not receive an SMS saying my data bundle is about to expire yesterday.

Not only did I loose 220MB I have now also lost a crap load of airtime.

Why don't you SMS reminders about bundle expiry? I hate you so much right now.

If they can just be consistent then I can plan around it. I have always received an SMS when my bundle is about to expire and also when I am about to deplete it.

FFS I have been with Vodacom since 1999 and I am due for an upgrade in three weeks time, this really makes me think if I should stick with these *******s. They never miss a debit order, oh no, but sending me a polite reminder that I am about to go on super-high-stuff-me-up-the-ass-data-rates is something they casually "forget" to do.

Edit : Jannie, I'm looking at you.

i think this board should really look at how vulgar the rants are on here that last comment of yours was really uncalled for.

Wonder if you speak like this in-front of your parents.

Go somewhere else....you will never look back
I have lost lot of money with them. They give all kinds of advice and it does not work. email notification goes not work.

I'm also miffed about this - however according to the Voda app and the web portal, I didn't go over my limit. I've never received a reminder and just keep checking the app.

I was billed ~R500 for October and November for data usage.

Reference numbers:

Mysteriously I got no invoice for December and there wasn't the timely debit either.

I've been told that one can convert an open contract to a Topup contract in store. I'm going to do this first thing on Saturday.

I'm at the mercy of idiots. No proof of going over my limit, just this random SMS. I've got bloody proof that I had left over data the past 3 months!!!

check your pm

Thanks VodacomData. I've PM'd you back.

It's amazing how a handful of representatives on mybb have the power to save the image of a company. They should pay you all more!

From my experience, Vodacom only notifies you when you have 3MB left. And only notifies you when you color data is about to expire.

With Telkom mobile, I get a nofication when I'm under a Gig, on 499MB and 99MB which is pretty convenient!

When crossing 0, your internet access is stopped, your WEB traffic is redirected to OOB page asking you for permission to use OOB data R1/MB!
Don't give them permission of course, it is a time to load another bundle!

Just to drop this in here, I migrated my open MyGig 3 contract yesterday to Topup, effective 31 Jan 2014, at R0.00 cost. No more need to worry about OOB shark or data I didn't use after this month.

:)

I find it unacceptable that they can just let you deplete your bundle at breakneck speeds and not notify you about it. Even back in 1991 a basic car like the Opel Monza 160i GSi (Car of the Year 1991) would notify you that you were about to run out of fuel.

I object to you calling the Opel Monza 160i GSi (Car of the Year 1991) a basic car.
