Noise cancelling headset for work

I'm super keen on biting the bullet for these for some upcoming long flights.

Can anyone else swear by them & their current 999 MSRP at IC?

I use a workaround for this

Share my phones microphone with my pc, run it through a noice cancelling app and play back to my headphones, works quite well especially with the phones mic being much better than those in headphones plus processing on pc.

I have the Sony XM3 as well.

They are very comfortable and do an excellent job of noise cancellation.

The only drawback is that they don’t switch seamlessly between devices - I believe that this limitation was addressed in theXM4/5 but it’s worth checking beforehand. If you swap between devices often it is irritating to have to manually disconnect and reconnect.

I also have AirPods Pro 2 and they are also brilliant - I even sleep with them in (that said, your ear canals will start to feel a bit sore if left in constantly)

Thanks - I'm going to have the missus pick up a pair for my kid who's flying to the UK next week. I paid IC prices for mine - it was worth the extra r100 to have them for my flight to the US last week.
 
First impressions are very positive.

It's built a great deal better than I expected, no flimsy lightweight feel here. The band & cups are supremely soft, there is a nice proper heft to it.

Pairing was super easy, I don't think the Bass Up feature I will use all too much. The ANC settings x3 make a difference when cycling through.

The App is bare bones & does not even display the battery % though.

For me the most NB points are comfort & solid sound with decent ANC and these appear to fit the bill well.

On a first take I'm a happy camper. Getting them fully charged up (they were on 50%) for Thursday's flight.

Nice, I have been looking at reviews on YouTube for a few days and so far this one ticks the boxes

JBL is a proper audio make. If it ticks your boxes go for it.

Will you be using them for teams/work meetings..?

I have been looking for something with a noise cancelling mic to drown out background noise when I am talking in meetings..

The only real delay is the mic data over wifi to the pc, which can be about a second sometimes, there is no processing delay.

Only very loud harsh sounds are noticeable as it comes through befote its muted, for the most part the I dont notice.

Nope, work gave us some pretty high end Jabra (Evolve 65) units for that.

I did a brief test of those before I went on leave & for Teams & the like they appear to be really good.

These Soundcore's are for pleasure only. Also allows me to preserve my AP 3's for longer (battery wise).

I currently use the q20 and they're quite superb for the price, cheaper than the q35. NC is quite good, battery life is also great. I can use them for 3 to 4 days before needing to charge them.
 
The best noise cancelling headsets are made by Yealink. The other is ok but the Yealinks are much better. I've used Jabra, Polycom, Sennheiser, etc. And still the best with the best sound yealink.

If you want something that covers your ears then the Sony is best, but comes at a premium. Jbl is great for listening to music, but for calls they are rubbish.

Yealink UH34 if more a dedicated headset. it has the boom out microphone which gives you better sound.

Wireless otherwise still on a budget, the Jabra Elite

I decided to just get the Samsung Buds Pro. Great for calls, for the PC and they're generally nice. The Apple buds are also quite popular with a few colleagues. You want to hear around you but still have clear calls.
