Noise Ninja for Aperture

OK, how about this. Larger 100% crop from the same image, but in an area where there is darker and lighter surface, and exposure pushed two stops to make it easier to see.

With Aperture's Automatic Noise Compensation:

Apply noise ninja and what happens?
 
Interesting Inside Aperture podcast this week on the Aperture plugin architecture as well as Noise Ninja.

It seems the capability is there for aperture to pass-on the raw data but it was vague as to if anyone was taking advantage of it yet.
 
Yeah, I listened to that yesterday. That part about passing the raw information sounds really promising.
 
I'm a big fan of Noise Ninja in CS3 but recently I've been playing with Dfine and it's really, really good.

On the whole I'm staying away from aperture plugins - Silver Efex pro bogged it down to such an extent it was unusable.
