Nokia 6110 Navigator

Got mine yesterday, great phone! I was due for an upgrade and MTN has told me the last two months that they do not know when they will recieve stock. So all I did was to phone 808 and tell them I would like to cancell my contract as I cannot get the phone that I want. 90 minutes later I got a call back that said they found one for me. Don't take their ****, just threaten to take your good money to vodacom and they'll jump!

CR-48 cradle broken

I have had my cradle for two months now. Since this afternoon my phone will not lock into place. The mechanism must be bust. So much for quality. Paid enough for the cradle. Damn.

Got my 6110 Nav yesterday and I'm very happy.

Likewise. I am busy fiddling around with it this morning. I used the GPS to get to work and was very impressed.
I see that I can buy maps for East London through 66, but will they be any different to the standard SA maps that came with the phone? Also, if I load the EL map, would it replace the SA one?

Otherwise, I am stoked.

Hmmm I think my decision has just been made for me then....

Will almost definitely have to get me one of these then.

If you go to extras in the Nav screen you can select which map to use. I also just added all the speed camera POI's

Hey blade

Did you battle to purchase extra maps. I have tried using my phone and cannot get my cr to be accepted. It just hangs there saying processing.

Any ideas?

Sorry, can't help there. I have not tried purchasing any extra maps yet.

Any idea if TomTom 6 will work on the 6110 nav?
I need a map of Namibia to be loaded but Route66 has none.

Please assist and PM.

Cheers.

FYI, Autopage Cellular Centurion just phoned me to tell me my 6110 had arrived - but I've already upgraded. There's a phone if anyone wants to go buy it from them...

nokia 6110 & jvc car radio

bought a new car hi fi -the jvc kd-avx33 series. Now I want to load my phonebook onto the jvc (it has this feature) as the jvc can be used as a car kit. However the 6110 navigator appears to be unable to send the contacts via bluetooth to another device???

The two are paired together so i'm able to recieve calls via the jvc, but have to manualy dial phone numbers :(

I did switch the "remote sim mode" (6110)on, but that did not help either.

So how do I get this nokia 6110 navigator to send the phonebook to the jvc kd-avx33 car radio?

Unfortunately the voice dialing on the navigator does not work aswell as the 6230. perhaps I have not set it up correctly yet. any advice please?

is it possible to add ones own voice tags???
