btw- You can also use the finger print reader as navigation buttons by swiping left right etc. Welcome to the 7 plus club ;)
 
I am due for an upgrade. Nokia 7 plus or Nokia 8?
I currently have a Galaxy S7, but Samsung is just churning out the same phone year after year. I know the S10 or whatever the next revision will be is being announced tomorrow, but I doubt that it will convince me to pay a R700pm extra for a phone.

Normal 8 or 8 Sirocco ?
 
I am in the same boat, wanting to give a Nokia a go but to choose between the 8 or 7 plus.

Camera is important as I have young children, Iv been looking at some reviews online thus far, seems a mixed bag on the Nokia 8 camera.

if 8 i would say go for 7 plus
if 8 Sirocco go for 8 Sirocco
 
Does the 7 plus offer a better camera experience over the 8 (not Sirocco)?

With young kids Iv always found devices with OIS handy especially to prevent that blur you get sometimes when trying to get a quick shot off and they are moving.

The camera is better than the 8
you can also download the google pixel camera app to take out better shots.
 
The June update fixed the Nokia 8 camera. Made it far better, but the Nokia 7 plus is still better at low light photos.
 
My phone told me. It downloaded June by itself and notified me and as soon as that was done and phone rebooted, told me about July update. If you go into settings app, system and then update you may be able to force the update?

FWIW, my phone was from MTN
 
Ordered mine on the 1st of this month, looks like I'll be waiting another 2 weeks at least :(

I wonder what the local market share is looking like, MyBB only seems to report on Samsung, Huawei and Apple.

That is strange.. Got mine from MTN as well, tried to do manual update.. nothing. Guess I will have to wait and see..
 
Anyone who has managed to get the Dual Sim variant here in SA... I'm really not gonna buy it unless its dual sim
