They aren't Apple :) most phones use micro usb or type C.

probably cause most of his other stuff is Micro USB.
I bought a set of these from WIsh , converts any Micro USB to USB C
comes in handy to convert any charges i had lying around at the office car etc, and i keep one in the coin pouch in my wallet just incase im somewhere and they still have old Micro USB

I got two of those as well, but an actual cable is cheaper.

Will keep an eye out for something like that. Means one less cable cluttering the place up.
 
I did a android P dev 3 build with july patch level update on my 7 plus yesterday. Really good, smooth and really changes from 8.1. After realising that netflix, showmax or even dstv now did not want to work because google services is "unregistered", did a roll back to android 8.1. Safer to wait for final release.
 
No June or July as of yet. Was in discussion with Nokia chat via the app on the phone. One operator promised it will come, another said change sims, that will help. Still nothing. Did a android p dev update, was great, but none of netflix, showmax or dstv now wanted to work. Did a roll back, now suddenly back on april security patch, with no updates.
 
Is anyone on the June/July security patch as of yet? As far as i know the TA-1055 7 plus is still on may
 
Guys I just got my Nokia 7 plus 2 days ago... Am disappointed that Vodacom disabled the 2nd SIM so no dual SIM for me... I thought since it's android one Vodacom will not mendle with it. Is there a trick to enable the 2nd SIM? On my P9 lite there was a trick @xda-developers but been searching nothing for 7 plus.

I also wanted dual SIM but Nokia only ship single SIM versions of the phone here so that's what we stuck with.

So far still loving the phone but miss three muiu features from Xiaomi,
1. Battery life not as great as redmi note 4 . Seems to be once charged daily, instead of every 1.5 days
2. Ability to see data usage on notification drop down and ability to stop mobile data if daily data cap is reached. Also speed of link when downloading was nice
3. Ability to swipe up anywhere on screen to turn off alarm.

they have not messed with the phone, it comes in 2 variations from nokia single and dual sim , they just only have the single sim version
 
I had a chat with a Telkom agent and the Nokia 7 plus advertised at Telkom, is the dual sim variant.

Sanity prevailed and after playing around with the SO's 7 plus I changed the order just before it went in.

At least I get more airtime and data now :cool:

So it's been 2 days and no regrets so far.

I love the fact that I could delete the Vodacom schit and the rest I didn't need off the phone. Battery life is just amazing. Screen and camera have also impressed me. The double tap screen thingy is also very useful.
