Nokia 7 plus

Interesting that so few Nokia 7 Plus owners received the August security update. Guess we will get Android Pie before we get that.
 
I must say that I am a bit disappointed. Still on the May 2018 update. I hope to get the Android P update and things will get better from there.
 
I am also still on May security update, did some research on the updates and from what I could find, Nokia has placed updates on hold for certain models until the pie update rolls out, we should be getting Pie before the end of September, which will include all the security updates since May.
 
I headed over to the XDA developers forum this morning and grabbed the 3 OTA files needed to get up to the latest security patch level. Using ADB I sideloaded the files and now I am on the August security patch.

Agreed. I read somewhere that Nokia is contributing this to the local service providers blocking the updates. Not sure how that is possible though. :unsure:

I've got the 8 and I get the regular updates, kind of funny that a phone on the Android one program isn't though.

Mine updated to the August patch on it's own. Really weird that some phones do and some don't.
 
I agree, this is really weird. But it depends on the model you have? I have even try different sims in my phone but still the same.
 
We should all have the TA-1055 model if bought locally in SA. I know mine is from stock supplied to MTN. Perhaps the IMEI is linked to a service provider in some way when ordered from Nokia. Anyway I am now on the latest security patch and will monitor how it runs.

Hi all

What's the best place to pick up the Nokia 7 Plus on a cash deal ?

Also considering a Nokia 8 , but prefer the bigger display on the Nokia 7 Plus .

I had posted a while back when they were at 5500 on bidorbuy from a reasonable looking seller. Now I think MTN cash price 6k is best bet
 
Thanks , yeah saw that post . That seller does not have them anymore . Hi Online has them for R6000 but that's the best I have found currently.

I paid 6k from MTN long ago. It's still worth that. Trust me I've had note nexus 6p Huawei phones etc. This is goldilocks zone right here
