Actually it has full blown GPS, a-GPS just helps in making a lock on faster. However, the N97's GPS is full of ups and downs, check the cell forums here or on the Nokia forums.

Hmm, maybe I should start taking orders for the N900 and bring them when I hit durbs over Christmas ;)

Then can bring any other phone beside n900? Who even wants a n97 mini?

"Nokia Booklet release date in SA revealed" but it says no realease date.

Sorry did I miss something? The headline is "Release date announced" and then in the article it says "No release date available"???

C'mon Tom Manners - you can do better than this:

Article title:
Nokia Booklet release date in SA revealed

Bold text beneath title:
Nokia announces likely SA release dates for the Nokia N97 mini and Nokia 3G Booklet

Intro paragraph:
Nokia has announced that South Africa is likely to see a local release of the Nokia N97 mini and the anticipated Nokia 3G Booklet in 2010.

Closting paragraph:
No official pricing or release details have yet been given.

WTF?!?!

So Nokia had this press conference to announce the release date of the Nokia Booklet in SA, and they just wanted to reassure everyone that they had no f@%king idea?:D

This misconception always baffles me.

The only reason the standalone GPS have "gps", and not "a-gps" is because they don't have an internet connection.

If you insist on having "proper" gps only, simply disable the "a" part of it.

+1

Yeah, it's driven by all the marketing drivel that the manufacturers put out there, seems it works on some.
