Vodaworld's birthday

This coming Saturday - 26 May - is Vodaworld's 9th birthday, and we are having the biggest cellular celebration ever!

Festivities will kick off on Friday, between 12:00 and 14:00, with Mo and Moisha performing at Vodaworld.

On Saturday bring the family and friends and be part of the fun as we will be having something for everyone at Vodaworld. On arrival, guests will be shuttled with golf carts to Vodaworld by model chauffeurs.

There will also be 4 mobile car wash units, where your car can be washed free of charge. All donations from the car wash will be given to the Vodacom Foundation.

While face painters and stilt walkers will be entertaining the kids, you can jam with DJ Marco, with lots of spot prize give-aways.

Mo and Moisha will perform every half hour from 08:00 until 14:30, and in between you will have the opportunity to meet them and get their autographs.

As always, there will be great deals at Vodaworld, such as:

Vodaworld - your one stop cellular mall!

hey ppl.. i dont understand the need to flash.. i mean da branding cant be that bad that it cripples the phone... and i'v read horror stories of ppl overseas flashing their fones and ending up wid bricks..... beware.... also it mentioned that if a restore is done after flashing, its preferable to restore items manually one at a time instead of restoring the whole backup as this also has killed a few fones.... i gues u gota weigh the pros and cons and decide if it worth it......

Upgraded firmware last night, took 2 hours but done, phone working SO much better...

Much faster, MUCH more stable, no lockups and no restarts, oh and wow... soo many more features with the unbranded firmware...

I didn't backup or restore anything, just wrote it all, down and put it back manually...

Now, just to move the messages from the memory card back to phone memory and we're a-for-away!

Good to hear your flashing went well True Tenacity. By the way what software did you use and how much does it cost??
Also does anybody know when NSU (Nokia Software Update) will be available for the new firmware v 11 for South Africa??? I did hear that the new firmware does come with a few bugs though.........
Btw Richard G those links have some good offers for the N95...... there'l probably a stock shortage issue though cos the damn phone suppliers are'nt stocking up as fast as they are needed to be despatched.........

Waaaay to go TrueTenacity!! Welcome to the world of the REAL NOKIA

I just changed the product code with NSS, and then used the nokia pc suite's software upgrade option... :-D

Love it! works great! Gallery is like a bazillion times faster and the whole os is much more stable...

just wish they'd fix that "red key kills running apps" thing.... keep hitting it while in mxit and finding myself on standby screen....

1)I hear you guys talking about backing up i mean the phone is new what would i NEED to back up?
2) what would happen if the phone got disconnected or something while in the process of flashing it?

Fancy little paper weight?

So it would get messed up to the point that not even nokia can fix it?
