Nokia N97 calling

on a 500 talk pleeeeeease Mmmmmmmmmmmm

Not a fan....cant wait for Sony to pull a stunt of its own on this challenge...blah blah bloah:sick:

No thanks  it doesn't look very slick

It prob still runs some form of Symbian, and thats just a killer for me.... I can't stand Symbian.

IMO unless youre incapable of learning thre is nothing wrong with the iphones keybooard, took me about 2 days to start typing with ease, now I wouldnt want it any other way.

I dumped Nokia because it cannot sync Thunderbird address books.
Has Nokia resolved this yet?
I run an HTC + BirdieSync and sync is simple - just connect the HTC to the computer and sync is complete.

I'm porting from Nashua to mtn so although I'm due for an upgrade now my contract actually only expires next year February,so hopefully my patients will be rewarded with a new N97!!!! YIPPPPPEEEE.....

I was contemplating an iPhone 3G but didn't want to have to switch from MTN to Vodacom. This gives me an excuse to stay with Nokia. :)

I already reported this on the 2nd of December ? Why is this article only coming out now ? http://mybroadband.co.za/vb/showthread.php?t=148604

The 5800 is better than the iPhone in every way you look at it, this phone only takes everything one step further.

Actually when the guys over at GSM Review tested the 5800 which does not have a keyboard, they found that both first time users as well as old users of the iPhone get more done on the 5800 especially in terms of writing. The N97 adds a real keyboard just to make it even more better :p

the styling looks tad bit bland. next year when my contract expires i'll might look at it.

thankfully, the N97 doesn't run the outdated Windows Mobile, the preferred operating system of HTC

I'll never use a mobile that doesn't have Windows Mobile again. Me loves me P3400 HTC

Outdated? LOL

Finaly Nokia doing the right thing. And yes Windows Mobile is TOTALlY CRAP. Like in C R A P. You think Windos for PC is bad then you haven't seen anything yet. No wonder Windows Mobile has such a tiny market share. The only WM device which is half usefull without crashing all day, is the HD, but it has no keyboard . With Symbian, been so strong nowadays, thanks God I have the choice to use a Pda/cell combination which won't drop phone calls every time a sms comes in. The whole Windows Mobile issue/development is so badly orchestrated by Micro$oft, it makes me throw up. Well done Nokia :D Now please, make it less then $1000 and I am your customer :)
