Nokia Windows Phone will be available through most operators

The Lumia 800 is easily the second best phone on the market, and quite possibly the best.
Nice to know we're going to get it here

I'm hoping that they get the 710 in at a reasonable price, or the Samsung Focus Flash. I'm gung-ho for a cheap WP7 phone.

It has its quirks, but yeah this is the change that Nokia needed. It's a pity that they've entered the market at such a late stage, because it's going to be quite a mountain to climb.

It will take a while but so far with WP they've done a fantastic job of creating differentiated well targeted beautiful handsets. I think they've got a shot still.

Good stuff, I'm happy it didn't take too long to get here. Now I just hope that these phones have better marketing than the first generation phones that were sold here. I guess Nokia will be doing a lot of the marketing, so it should be better.

Oooh nice. I hope by the time I need to upgrade later in the year the contract prices on the 800 will be awesome.
Can't wait to try something a little different than the usual icon-based iOS/Android craze.

The Mango reviews I was watching on Youtube a while back was truly impressive and while Nokia kept making blunders left and right on the software side of things this might just be the break Nokia needs.
Would be nice to have a Nokia device again that I can be proud of... :P

Some would say last kicks of a dying horse in the smart phone arena.

Wonder if they going raise their prices a little higher just because it's a nokia

iPhone 4S. The SGS2 is a knockoff
The Lumia 800 is original and beautiful

Not a very rich or well thought out accusation considering the SGS2 was out more than six months before the iphone4s.

Im sure Samsung went back to the future to pull that one of.

The iphone4/4s is the best looking device out right now Ill give it that, but thats where the "best" stops its not best at anything else really.Especially in the screen department.

Which brings me to the Lumia 800,exactly the same problem....the screen is just too small for todays smart phones. The lumia 900 is what nokia should be marketing as a best seller because it ticks most of the right boxes for a modern smartphone.

Im sure the lumia 800 will have a market but its not going to achieve the numbers nokia needs.

I think he meant it was ripping off the iPhone4 - although I find that somewhat untenable given the massive differences between them.
As for the screen, well I prefer the iPhone screen greatly over the SGS2. It's pinsharp and the colours are more natural - to my eye.
Also I prefer the Lumia 800 size to a 4.3" screen. What's the advantage? You don't gain any more subpixels - you actually lose some resolution on a PPI basis, although the 900 isn't pentile which is superior. I just don't get this whole massive smartphone trend. 4" is about as high as I want to go, as long as I already have a tablet.
