Noob speaker questions

Underpowered in that they're only +-50watts RMS for close to R2000 when you compare the THX-certified Z2300s which are +-150watts RMS.

4x9m is pretty big, I have +-45watt RMS Logitech Z4s in a 3x4m room and they sound great, have tested them in a +-5x8m room and they weren't loud enough any more.

I may sound like a stuck record, but if you can find a mint set of Altec Lansing MX5021's, you'd be set. They have the cleanest stereo sound I've ever heard (or owned) for PC's. Logitech's Z4's are equivalent to the Z-2300's for R500 less IMO. Not bad, but a touch boomy on the sub.

RECTRON does logitech - u will find the Z2300 on their pricelist ...i got the Z2300 from a mate for R1480

The TOTAL output of the Z2300 is 200w RMS ... that's 40w RMS for each speaker - and the remaining 120w RMS powering the active subwoofer.
 
Yea. Those Altec Lansing SLS6221 are TOTAL output of 58w RMS ... that's 7w RMS for each speaker and 44w RMS for the subwoofer :/
 
Hmmm, it would seem that 7w is not all that much power when compared to the Logitechs. Regarding the Rectron logitech disti issue, I don't see a price for the Z2300 on my list?
 
I have portable radio's that put out more than 7w :P You'll be pretty disappointed in your room.

Isn't there a disti called DCS or something? I'll check when I'm at my desk
