NOT ENOUGH GIGS FOR SOME!!!!

I've suggested the reasons why 1GB accounts were not upgraded earlier in this thread. Contact Telkom directly if you want an official explanation.

Am I? At the time of buying my package about 2 years ago Closure 1 and 2 were the cheapest!
With all the new packages I am now suddenly bottom of the pile!:cry:

A 384Kb line with 1Gb is most definitely the cheapest you can get. Closer 1 and 2 don't include ADSL.. so they don't count here.

Dude get yourself a 1GB package from Afrihost and use it when ur Telkom runs out..
R29 is not so much more and then do topups should you need more, they often have 2 for 1 specials where you get 2GB for R29..

Allthough I can't see how people survive on only 1GB - 3GB.. The people next door only uses Facebook/Facebook games, Email, Anti-Virus update and Skype and they average over 5GB a month (No windows updates or music downloads.)

Very simple: ISP's are businesses, and businesses have different ways of doing their business - some may give away some free gigs every now and then as part of a marketing and publicity run. The point is that not all ISP's are the same. Just so you know, TelkomInternet have often kept their accounts uncapped during some months in the past, and if you're a regular on these forums you'll quickly find out when those times are... the only difference is they don't make that info public/official - I don't know what else you expected from TelkomInternet as your ISP though?
