its an urban legend.. as most urban legends are not true - but that does not detract from the message. If you really want it rephrased in a way that snopes doesnt have, change 'Frog' to 'Gecko' .. and then google doesnt show you anything useful. :D

If you are exposed to very small changes, you will only notice the difference after a long time. In the case of the *alleged* frog, it noticed the water was hot but was too late to do anything about it. Can you see the analogy now? or need a snopes link (itz on the interwebz so its must be tru)

Well initally it wasn't an urban legend, it was used in an ad campaign to highlight climate change. I understand the message, but as it's been pointed out, it's not true so as an analogy it fails. As with the frog, if things get too hot, people jump out.

And what exactly are these small changes you are talking about? Crime? It's been here for a while. Corruption? Even longer. Hate? That's been there since before Van Riebeeck got off his boat.

Aesops Fables are certainly fiction yet their analogies are perfectly valid. Think of "The boy that cried wolf." ss an example.

Please don't just make stuff up. It lowers the tone of the discussion and makes you look like an arse.

Not always. The Jews in Germany & Poland are a good example to the contrary. Also applies to many whites in erstwhile Rhodesia, as well as other African countries.

Well to bring this conversation back on topic, I do think this is an example of farm invasions and yes, white people were the victims here so I guess you could call it a racial attack if you want to paint it that way.
