Nvidia GeForce NOW SA launch

So - owning a Nvidia Shield this is interesting!

However it seems RAIN clients only? How does one get access outside of RAIN?
I'm pretty sure Rain sent invites to non Rain customers as well just to be sure they test there. I'm not 100% certain but with what I have seen it likely is. I could be very wrong.

ah nvm, back now. Odd
I think a lot is changing in the background constantly and thus stuff appers and vanishes often. It'll maybe stabilize when they have stuff figured out a bit more.

Don't think I've heard of anyone NOT a subscriber currently who got a beta invite?

And for those folks talking Rain one, keep in mind it dint exist I think when you had the option to join the beta.

The coming of this thing has been going on forever. But it just never arrives.

Yes you need an invite via whatever email they send the invite to. They have a whitelist on their server and if your email doesn't match you can't join.
Thanks for the clarity. I guess it's a hurry up and wait situation... (and hope it gets extended to non RAIN clients).

The thing is, most people here are either Rain subscribers, or people who actually care to post. There are very likely people in the beta who have not told anyone about it.

I got an invite to the Beta today. All looked very promising. Signed up, installed GeForce Now, logged in, linked my Steam account, but then it gets stuck on actually recognizing that I now have a subscription, so I cannot launch any games, and the links from the app to the Rain website are incorrect.

Looks like its an actual order issue. Maybe ask Rain rep if they have accounts check what the issue with the order is. I reckon once they mark the order as paid or whatever then it should work.

Thanks, I did send a message to the Rain Rep on MBB. Still waiting for some feedback.

Sorry I am late to the party but I am interested in this service. If I may ask a summery.

This is how I understand it It cost about $9,99 USD that translate to about R187.35 ZAR a month so about R2.25k a year. That is really not bad considering GPU prices. I stand to be corrected but there is also a free version that allows one access for one hour sessions. I don't really know what that means.

What type of Upload download speeds does one need to run this? My LTE can manage 50Mbs down and 20Mbs UP. I installed fibre a week ago it a standard 20Mbs up and 20Mbs down from Vodacom.
I hope it's less considering priority only gives you 90 minutes here compared to 6 hours overseas ,

Hi there, there is no pricing available currently. The Priority tier is R1 p/m for the beta phase and that is all that is available. Factor in PC game pass at R79 and for R80 p/m you can have a lot of fun. Internet speed should be 35‐50 mbps for 4K gaming. I think 20mbps is fine for FHD at 60fps. Should be constant and stable though.
I use the EU GFN , if you are in a very high detail environment it spikes up to like 50 mbps 1080p
