Doubt it, the server is online, as we have seen. Probably just waiting for the payment options… If they do cancel it they should just hand it over to a more competent ISPAt this point, I just assume it's been silently canceled. Neither Rain or Nvidia has provided a single update
It's an alliance server, so the only way to use alliance servers is using the alliance login which is rain, but the website doesn't allow us to sign in anymore. Therefore it being no useHas anyone found a way around the signup process, say with a VPN, and then using the South African servers after signing up?
Is there really not any word from Rain about this?GeForce Now cloud gaming service gets South African server — adds Rain as provider
Observant MyBroadband community members have spotted that you can select Rain as a service provider when signing into Nvidia's GeForce Now game streaming service.
The South African servers for the cloud gaming platform also appear to be online. They are called AF SOUTH 1 in the GeForce Now app.
I see the NVIDIA website now has a landing page for ZA. Says the alliance partner is RAIN. One step closer? Is there really not any word from Rain about this?
Its been like that for a while iirc.I see the NVIDIA website now has a landing page for ZA. Says the alliance partner is RAIN. One step closer?
It's been this way for a while. It's not actually logging in/allowing for a NOW membership, it's just redirecting to a generic rain login page which has no references therein to NOW, just rain's mobile-related portal. You can now log in through Rain in Geforce Now again
So only working if you have Rain account and log in via Rain?
Pretty useless then. Hope they dont expect people to sign up to Rain accounts for this. Lol.
Anyone on Rain who can test the speed, latency etc?
Well its back again, i can log in and test my speed now. It's been this way for a while. It's not actually logging in/allowing for a NOW membership, it's just redirecting to a generic rain login page which has no references therein to NOW, just rain's mobile-related portal.
Why wouldnt they, rain.co.za/nvidia/join-now and rain.co.za/nvidia/upgrade exists now. We finally have a ZA page on the Nvidia website and it officially shows as an alliance at login. Also to login we dont have to press “Other providers anymore“. Maybe im just on hopiumOr they're not actually planing anything. @rain_mobile
