Nvidia GeForce NOW SA launch

2 months from last release time window, is this the month we may be getting it?Thoughts on release date?

At this point, I just assume it's been silently canceled. Neither Rain or Nvidia has provided a single update
Doubt it, the server is online, as we have seen. Probably just waiting for the payment options… If they do cancel it they should just hand it over to a more competent ISP

Has anyone found a way around the signup process, say with a VPN, and then using the South African servers after signing up?

It's an alliance server, so the only way to use alliance servers is using the alliance login which is rain, but the website doesn't allow us to sign in anymore. Therefore it being no use

I see the NVIDIA website now has a landing page for ZA. Says the alliance partner is RAIN. One step closer?
Its been like that for a while iirc.

But one new change is that rain's website menu no longer has the "more about NVIDIA" button which, since last year, went to a page about the announcement and form to fill in to request notification about the launch.

That could be a good thing or a bad thing, who knows at this point.

Since they've blown through 2 of their own projected launch dates, would be interested to hear what feedback they give if MyBB's journalists request comment.

Will their data (rendering or whatever) centre be able to run KSP 2 at 60fps without any lag spikes?

You can now log in through Rain in Geforce Now again
It's been this way for a while. It's not actually logging in/allowing for a NOW membership, it's just redirecting to a generic rain login page which has no references therein to NOW, just rain's mobile-related portal.

So only working if you have Rain account and log in via Rain?
Pretty useless then. Hope they dont expect people to sign up to Rain accounts for this. Lol.

Anyone on Rain who can test the speed, latency etc?

No, the rain NOW service is not working at all (to the general public, no idea re beta etc). By "rain portal/rain login" above, I was just referring to the portal on their website.

And you can have a rain (portal) account without using rain's ISP/mobile services. They've stated you won't need to use their ISP/mobile services for their NOW service.
Have a read through this thread for more info, it was all laid out a few months back.

Well its back again, i can log in and test my speed now.

Yeah its not set as “Forbidden” anymore, can login freely. We are getting closer to release it seems!

Server now active on the Geforce Now server page! Hasnt been there before I checked last week. Also on the rain.co.za website the “About Nvidia” section is gone

Or they're not actually planing anything. @rain_mobile
Why wouldnt they, rain.co.za/nvidia/join-now and rain.co.za/nvidia/upgrade exists now. We finally have a ZA page on the Nvidia website and it officially shows as an alliance at login. Also to login we dont have to press “Other providers anymore“. Maybe im just on hopium

Been this way for a few months already (along with the ability to link to the ZA server in the app but not activate a membership to use it for anything other than speed tests), so while there's been progress this year, the customer-facing stuff seems to have stalled a while back.

But I agree with you that there's no reason to assume the launch is off, it's just a question of when.
