I'm finding it increasingly difficult to understand your posts lately, and I do understand Afrikaans, but your punctuation and strange spelling makes it even more difficult than usual.

hood is entitled to his opinion, as are the rest of us, including Prometheus, even if it is from another planet where logic was butchered to death.

I'm totally lost too. They always seem to be posted about 4 am, maybe that says something. :D

The "cyberculture" is largely to blame for this incoherency. Must b posting very l8 or very erly. :p Seriously though why is it so hard for people to add the proper amount of letters. It does afterall make it easier and faster to read and understand. Csnoopy, take your advice and reread what you've written. :p :D
Who is Prometheus - must be alien as suggested by someone, or at least not from this world. I have a 13 year old daughter who has a cell phone super glued to her hand just like all her school friends with MXIT and Facebook live at least 5-8 hours a day. I have a SIP client on my phone which keeps my 3g live as does my wife's phone. I also have a Laptop with HSDPA imbeded, put a sim in and its also on most of the day, I also have 2 other prepaid SIMs. Just my family has 6 SIMs of which 4 concurrently conected for at least 6 hours a day. Vodacom states are very believable.
I happen to live in something called the real world where people have real lives. Stop looking at the world from only your perspective. You may hang around the crowd that have nothing better to do than be on the internet all day but that is not a standard. Go look around and you will find that there are actually people who will not be able to even name someone who uses the internet. Read that MXit article and you will get an idea of what I'm talking about.

And before someone goes of on a tangent telling other people they live in the "stone" age  remember that your standards are not other people's standards. Believe it or not there are people (even in places like UK or US) that are not interested in complicating their lives even more with every new gadget that someone thinks up. If you can criticise them for not conforming to your "standards" they have just as valid reasons to do the same to you.

No one is criticising you or those people you know, for living in the dark ages, but the fact that you have decided to insulate yourself, has blinded you to the reality of what is a fast changing world where an ever increasing number people are more connected to the internet than ever before - that's basically what most of us have been trying to get through to you in this thread, but you don't believe us, which is fine with me - believe what you want.

IMO that would only be in very low income areas, even people I know that are very non-technical are on the net or using apps like Mxit constantly.

You are the one who decided than anyone living differently than you is living in the "stoneage". We can go back to the post where you said it and here you go again with "dark ages" which were never really "dark" ages to begin with. That's exactly what I am talking about and there you go and do it again thinking that anyone not living like you must be living in the dark ages. That does not mean anyone is insulated from anything. We can actually say that you are the one insulated from the real world. If you don't see that as a fair conclusion then we don't see yours as one either.

I am not the one trying to pass off a few techs in the field or the few thousand MXit users as a representation of every cellphone user out there, which is hardly the case.

True and that is exactly the point that you can't use one group of people as a representation of what you think the whole country is like. There are many different groups with different interests and income levels.

Like I've already posted, whatever floats your boat and makes you happy, doesn't bother me if you only believe what you yourself post.
