October Fun...

Time will tell, sooner or later, time will tell.

Everyone raved about Crysis... I'd rather wait till the game comes out and decide.

nah, all those gameplay vids sold me ........ :D Misfiring weapons, weapons jamming, pulling shrapnel/bullets out your leg with pliers, having malaria, setting the veld on fire and burning the bad guys ...... eish, bring it on :D

I've pre-ordered:

WotLK expansion & COD5. I wanted to add FC2, but my pc is way too slow for it :/

I can't wait for Stargate worlds & Star wars' KOTOR: MMORPG to come out !!! I will never play anything else. (Unless ofcourse someone releases a Monkey Island MMORPG - which would actually ROCK come to think of it ... Insult-arm-wrestling-arenas etc. :D )

The most depressing thing is that I dont have an X360 to play Fable2 :(

Fable 2
Fallout 3
Farcry 2
Gears of War 2
Call of duty 5

geez we need some original IP.

Right now I want Little Big Planet soooooooo bad.

Damit, havnt missed having a PS3 until now

fsckin 2D title that is getting praise for being 'so creative' .... no thanks

October has great games being released IMO. Warhead, Hell's Highway and Far Cry 2. 3 great games in 1 month . I'm also interested in Fallout 3.

November is looking good as well although not quite up to October's standard. COD 5, GTA 4, FM 2009.....

I hate each and every person here who is getting Fable2 ... simply because I am not getting it :(

Fable was prolly one of the coolest starter-RPG's out there. No class selection or races or anything ... just a hero being kick-ass at that!

What I digged the most was the fights being pretty much real time instead of turn based point and click.

Mephisto, you speak like that ... my brother owes me some $ and he was scheming that instead of paying me back, he'll buy an X360 along with fable 2 ... then when he's done playing it he'll give it to me *g*

I actually sense some method in his madness.

EA LA's Red Alert 3, the RTS sequel with something for everyone, has gone gold and is on schedule for its October 28 launch on PC. The promised Xbox 360 version of the alternate-history strategy game is still in the works and will take a little longer. It arrives on November 11.

The release of Red Alert 3 ends the seven year wait that hardcore fans have had to endure. The upcoming sci-fi real-time strategy game "brings back everything fans enjoy about the series, from the fast, fluid and fun gameplay, to the humorous tone and distinct art style, while adding new innovations for the entire genre including three separate campaigns designed for fully co-operative play and an unprecedented emphasis on naval gameplay." In addition, Red Alert 3 continues the live-action cutscenes that made the series famous by bringing in stars like Gemma Atkinson, Gina Carano, Randy Couture, Tim Curry, Kelly Hu, Jenny McCarthy, Jonathan Pryce, George Takei and more.

On top of the gold announcement, EA has also revealed the contents of the game's Premier Edition, which includes "a bonus DVD with over an hour of exclusive content, including interviews with the cast and a behind the scenes look at the shooting of the game's cinematic sequences." In addition, it also features "exclusive multiplayer maps, strategy tips from the development team, the official soundtrack and an exclusive beta key to a future Command & Conquer game." For those that preorder either the Premier or Regular editions of Red Alert 3, they will receive:

* Command & Conquer Red Alert 2 - One of the most beloved RTS games of all time for FREE!
* From Fighter to Assassin - A featurette on EliteXC superstar, Gina Carano.
* Red Alert Retrospective - A look back at Command & Conquer Red Alert, Command & Conquer Red Alert 2 and Command & Conquer: Yuri's Revenge
* Premier Edition Sneak Peek - Exclusive previews of Raising of the Iron Curtain, From Pens to Pixels, Command School, and BattleCast Primetime
* Exclusive multiplayer/skirmish map for Command & Conquer Red Alert 3 when the game ships
* Exclusive Command & Conquer Red Alert 3 desktop wallpapers

If those weren't enough goodies, EA is also including an additional bonus for Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning players. "Everyone who purchases either the Premier Edition or regular version of Red Alert 3 will receive a "Women of Red Alert 3" poster and a redemption code for the Kossar's Helm, an exclusive in-game item for EA and Mythic Entertainment's critical hit Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning. Using this traditional Soviet hat turns your character into a bear - you don't want to be seen rampaging through WAR's capital cities without it!"

The beta for Call Of Duty 5 has officially started. The Eurogamer's keys are all gone, but you can still get a key by visiting GAME and pre-ordering Call of Duty: World at War. GAME pre-orders on Xbox 360 are guaranteed a key.

The dogs of war are being unleashed today, as Activision Publishing, Inc.and developer Treyarch announced the launch of the multiplayer beta for Call of Duty: World at War on the Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft. Console players can guarantee themselves a token by pre-ordering the game at UK Game retail locations, or online at http://www.game.co.uk/. Call of Duty fans that register to become members at www.callofduty.com are also eligible to receive a token, but these tokens are limited in supply, so register today. Additionally, Eurogamer will also be distributing keys from 5pm today on a first-come, first-served basis

it's not just the graphics with FC2 though bru ..... read up what the guys are saying about the story, the realism, etc ....... this isn't just another Crysis clone ;)

If i wanted realism, i'd sign myself up for the army. Only downfall with that is there is no loading from your last save and going back to finish the job.

seroiusly having cool graphics and realism is nice but it also comes with a nice price tag, when your already latest graphics card cant handle the game, and you have to dip into your pockets to fork out cash for a game that does'nt cost 300 buck any more, cause of the new system you have to fork out to go along with it. If they made it look like battlefield 2. I'd be more than happy to buy it straight away and play it, who knows i might even pick it up from some "sailor" i know.

I actually played FC2 and had a chat with the developer at rAge. Just to give you a hint on how realistic Far Cry 2 actually is - I was walking around the map shooting bad guys playing around with the flamethrower etc when I saw a trail of buggy tracks running through the grass. I figured that this must be a trading route for the enemy. I planted a few landmines there. So I left the place to go do my objective(go kill that guy in the castle - same as in the demo). About 15minutes later I returned to that spot where I planted the mines - only to find 3 burning buggy's... Wow....

Another cool thing about Far Cry 2 is that some of the guys actually screams and yells at you in afrikaans:D
