Official 2015 Super Rugby Thread

This weekend's sport is starting rather dreadfully. This loss by Chiefs, albeit the result of some dodgy calls by the whistle carrying dude, and the Windies imploding. Eish! :(

Was about to come on here raging at the Chiefs' stupidity, but you guys' saying the ref fscked it up? /sigh

Bit of both - Chiefs were very off today ... Highlanders deserved to be 14-3 ahead at HT

Didn't see the game but I just saw that last yellow card.

WTF? So players are not allowed to go low and hard now?

Some poor decisions at the end cost Chiefs some points...

Yellow card for a decent tackle.
SBW pinged for a legal challenge on the ball.

:wtf:

This is a very live discussion at the moment in both the Six Nations and Super Rugby, the topic, "Poor Officiating and the accountability thereof".

I just watched that highlight and I can't see what Lowe did wrong in any way to deserve a card. Is the tackler now supposed to cuddle as well when he's done?

Good defence by the Lions in those final 10min.

Would have taken a lot out of both teams. I'm expecting a lot more kicking in the second half.

What grates me is the amount of work being done by the attacking team in front of the ball.

Taking out potential tacklers, blocking defenders, falling over the ball... where and when will it end?

As a defensive player I would tackle anyone in front of the ball who is near the ball carrier. And I would hit him into the ball carrier. Cannot be penalised ... not even for tackling a man without theball.
