That place is awesome. I go there at least once a year. There is a Hotel/Bar (Dullstroom Inn) We always stay there :love: Love that place.

Yes, I saw it when we went for breakfast on Sunday in Dullstroom and I opened my Twitter in shock to see what happened with the rugby. Should never have done that.

We stayed at a lodge just outside Dullstroom, about 6km out on the dirt roads and into the valley. Pure bliss!

fscking horse-shyte, the TMO said at worst it was a yellow and he was overruled so don't excuse the twattery of the ref in that action

I agree with you. Ref asked the TMO for a recommendation - ref didn't like the recommendation and incorrectly overturned it.

It really makes a mockery of the whole TMO referral system.
 
The card system ruins the game as a spectacle. They should rather go the NFL route and eject the player from the game and he gets replaced. If it is sinister play or recklessly dangerous the offending player gets fined or suspended. There are far too many situations where players are baited with off the ball stuff.

How is that not EXACTLY what happened? Red was the right decision. Should have received a lengthy ban.

I would agree with this. If you look at Steyn's body movement during this, it looks in line with one executing a tip tackle and driving the offending player into the ground head first.

It is a recommendation. The replays also gives the ref a chance to have another look at the incident.
 
For the non-SA team lovers above me -

The momentum of the tackle then caused him to roll so that his head and neck made contact with the ground.

It was also found that two other Sharks players were involved in the tackle

Okay.

I might just be able to get another 4 or 8 tickets to the Bulls vs Crusaders match on Saturday. (OrbitalDawn already secured the first set of 4 as I promised him).

I will know by tomorrow evening if we can get our hands on another 4 or 8. Let me know if anybody will be interested in going. Unfortunately tickets come in a set of 4. So I can't split them.

Yup.

And even if you removed Reinach and Kankowski from that tackle, it would've had the same result -Cruden drilled head first into the ground. Steyn is like four times his size, so let's not kid ourselves.
The red should've stayed with additional suspension. Fair is fair. (Also, let's not forget, these were the same people who gave that Blues player a one week suspension for that deliberate, connecting, full on punch in-the-face on Vermeulen.) :rolleyes:

Regardless of whether it was a SAn team or not, this should not have happened, period.

What do you mean?

I think both reds were deserved. Steyn should have got a lengthy ban for it, too. Ridiculously dangerous what he did.
