No. It is a compiled version. Close to official. The OTA will probably be available in Dec. I hope earlier

I read somewhere that they're rolling out ota updates starting Nov 12th.

Followed this if anyone is interested in giving it a shot

There was a battery drain bug in 5.0 on Nexus devices. Google has reportedly fixed it, but I suspect they are busy with other regression tests at the moment.

I wonder if it had anything to do with the wakelock bug on the N7 devices? Mine gets it from time to time

Doubt it except of you are running lollipop. KitKat and lollipop are worlds apart.

Just done updating to lollipop

I downloaded the factory image from the google website.

Using NFC to transfer my accounts from my phone to the nexus 7 is a pretty cool feature.
