I am going crazy with the Flash 11 updates getting pushed through the whole time, I do not have space for it (11megs) but it still downloads all the time over 3g and wifi. I don't want to know how much this has cost in bandwidth over the last few weeks.

Is there anyway to disable the update, I have de-selected the "update automatically" option in the market but still it keeps coming.

The phone is stock and I want to keep it that way for now.

I'm beginning to think Jobs might have been onto something...

I dont think this one is Android's fault..... adobe is the evul ones here.... I have the same issue with flash on my PC. They code the update checks into the app so only thing you can do is uninstall the old one.

I simply dont install flash onto my phone.... as I never use it anyway.
 
Wondering if someone can help me with this..

I've got a white Desire and the back casing is showing it's use... couple of scuff marks around where the back of the phone lies on surfaces and a few scratches around. Does anyone know where I can buy a new back case? Would prefer an HTC one but really if the quality is great then I don't mind another make. I imagine white will be hard to get (haven't seen another white Desire) but I am fine with a black or grey one. Help is appreciated!

edit: Apparently it's called a 'battery door'. Would be ideal if I can find someone local who sells them.

Bit of a strange question. Many new phones have the micro usb charging "port". Does this mean that the pin configeration is the same. The main reason behind this question is simple. Will my old N97 car charger work on my hTc without damaging it and does the same apply to the AC charger?

If they follow the micro USB standard that HTC does then yes you can use it no problem.
 
Ok, so I tried it and the phone seemed to charge without any problems. So time will tell if there r any issues.

Haha, I'm not really educated in flashing stock, there are a lot of WWEs? Which one would I be downloading?

Wouldn't they have issues if I flashed a gingerbread rom though? I don't really care what I put on though as long as they accept it for repairs
 
Would you reccomend I wait for someone that has an MTN phone? Will they check that I have the exact software version on it?

Like I said I would wait till Monday to see if someone responds, if not then I would flash the one I linked and hope for the best. Some people got phones back without stock but you never know when the repair guy just had a off day.
 
I will wait instead, I have a spare phone that I can use until someone gets back to me with it. Thanks so much for your help so far though, much appreciated.
