It's the getting it back without paying part that's the problem :)

Mine stopped receiving any sort of signal 2 months ago ... unrooted / RUU'd the damn thing to 2.3.3 and sent it in for repairs, received it back a month later with new mobo and Froyo installed. Obviously had to get rid of that old crap asap so I loaded CM7 (which is awesome btw, especially on battery life) only for the damn thing to die on me last week again (like it in dead as a brick)

Only option was to send it in with flashed ROM as is so here is holding thumbs I get it back without to much of a sweat (and hopefully before christmas)

Using class 4 SD card, could that be the problem? I like MIUI, but I've almost thrown my phone against the wall a few times since the slowdowns stared.

For me it was that I had access control enabled. On MIUI.us

What access control? I have Access restrictions under System -> Personal (which is disabled) and the App monitor for data usage (which is enabled).

Am I missing something?

Its not enabled by default, so unless you changed it... Again I'm on miui.us

Hi, I purchased my Desire S in UK, which was upgraded to RUU_Saga_S_HTC_Europe_2.10.401.5 here in SA. I have now upgraded to version RUU_Saga_S_HTC_Europe_2.10.401.8 as per instruction on page you've shown, no problem. Take a look at this http://softgil.com/archives/1575
 
I have the Desire S and received the official update notification earlier this evening. Busy downloading the update at the moment....
 
guyz just wanna know why the htc desire hd battery doesen't last long not more than 12 hours and why it always finishes air time coz i don't use a contract line please help espeacialy the battery issue coz its a bit imbarasing the fact that i have to carry my cherger with me all the time

Things are constantly on 3G syncing and downloading. Stop some of them switch off 3G and install juice defender. You should get 2days at least

Is that the beta 4.0.1? because as yet I've not seen the complete version. also I believe that some functions are not working as yet.

Yes it's a Beta :) Camera doesn't work (no drivers for it) and the HW acceleration is running with a hack but everything else is working 100%

its an awesome beta
once there is a working camera then it can be used daily
hope they find a way to get it to work
