The rain made it much harder for us, was coasting till the rain came. Then loss QDK the ball after the break and hash in the same over.

What do you think of the rain-affected practice match between Zimbabwe and New Zealand?

http://www.espncricinfo.com/icc-cricket-world-cup-2015/engine/match/806119.html

NZ were 157/7 after 30.1 overs with only Ronchi, Elliot, Nathan McCullum&Mills the only ones left who can do something with the bat.

Seems the trick against most teams by the minnows will be spin&medium pace. 5 wickets were taken by medium pace, and 2 by spin.

14 overs from by far the slowest of the lot got ZIm 3 wickets for under 4 overs at most with the leggie under 5.

So if we meet them in the knockouts, I reckon an attack of Farhaan, Philander, Abbott, Tahir, Phangiso&Duminy should do the trick. :D

Wow, big up to Zim!! Yeah, agree, if a pitch doesn't suit fast bowling, don't bowl fast!! Don't be scared to open the bowling with a spinner! They do it on the sub continent frequently!

Very stupid decision by Windies to bat first! Shows the skipper's inexperience...

Gayle's form in ODIs has been in terminal decline. That's worrying. Maybe he's a sleeping giant like the Russian bear. Net letting anyone in on his true might, and when the going gets tough he'll unleash.

Whatever they do these days ends in tears!

They very under cooked!

It's tough and not the place to do it but maybe they can find some form during the CWC!

Could be dangerous if they do and they should secure the 4th spot in the group and progress! Aus in the quarter finals and Chris Gayle comes to the party, as he can and a potential banana peel for the Ozzies!!!! We live in hope...

So England win the first of its two warm-up games with ridiculous ease. Captain Eoin Morgan must be pleased with his seamers' performance upfront, especially that of Chris Woakes. Along with Steven Finn, he picked up seven wickets to effectively kill the contest. The men from the Caribbean were pretty abject with the bat all through. Lendl Simmons produced the only innings of some substance for his team. England play Pakistan in their next warm-up fixture on Wednesday. West Indies will take on Scotland on Thursday.

Incredibly disappointing. Why?! Have they learned nothing from their tour of SA? Fallen so far and at this point it will be a small miracle if they make the play-offs.

So sad :crying:

Glad of the SA result...got put under some pressure and got to the finish line (without one of their star batters also which is a plus).

On the West Indies, I can't shake the suspicion that they just don't have the attitude needed to compete. There are minnows \ relative newcomers with better approaches to the game...Bangladesh would on average give teams more of a headache than WI and that's a sad comment to make on a country with the cricketing tradition of the West Indies.

Bangladesh 246 (49.5 ov)
Pakistan 247/7 (48.1 ov)

Pakistan won by 3 wickets (with 11 balls remaining)

Good game even if the Pakis made heavy weather of getting over the line.
