Nice Tournament that Vodacom Challenge, before that we used to have the United Bank challenge, I remember Liverpool coming here with John Barnes, Bruce Grobelaar and Steve McManaman, local football was more exciting those days.

Preseason tournaments were so great here. The one I miss the most is the Telkom Charity Cup. Was a fun one day tournament.

True, a lot of people romanticize those days but I don't necessarily think that it is fair to compare those players to those today. Football was not as technical then and whilst it was probably more physical, the players today are much stronger physically.

Benni McCarthy at prime probably would have killed it even today but I can't comment on the others. We will never know.

But yeah, on the other point, I don't think Sundowns are even on the level of Celtic from Scotland though they might actually manage a third or second place finish in Scotland. Apart from Celtic and Rangers, the other teams are pretty bad.

A lot of players use Celtic and Rangers to boost their careers so they do end up with gems every now and then.

Well, however it goes today I hope it’s entertaining. The weather looks great. Hopefully the pitch holds up as it’s been raining a lot lately.

3rd defeat in a row for Chiefs! Hunt suicidal by starting Khune, it's like being a goal down from the first whistle.

Everybody liked him and wanted him to takeover at Chiefs but it's showing now how ungrateful everybody at Chiefs was at Middendorp.
Got to agree Midden did well. It is the useless players who screwed up and threw away the league. Couldn't handle the pressure and they seem still stuck there.

Why is everyone on Khune's case about yesterday's game? Even the commentators shouted in unison that it was Khune's fault, as if they were desperately waiting for it. I did not hear them saying anything about Akpeyi in the previous game, not that he did much wrong besides conceding two goals.

The local media and supporters are so toxic, Kaizer Chiefs plays pathetic football and can hardly manage one goal in a game, their defence looks like amateurs always scrambling, what's up with 4 of them standing in the goal line and not picking people?

People should stop looking for easy scapegoats, the whole team is pathetic and the coach is clueless, always chopping and changing for no good reason, he does not have confidence in his players and he is failing dismally to inspire the team.
