Official LG G2

I totally agree in the case of storage. I have a 16GB that's got just under 1GB left (I don't/can't use my phone for music so I kept my 64GB iPod).

Removable battery doesn't really bother me but if one needs it, then yes.

If one wants a phone now and doesn't care about improvements or is getting a significant discount, I'd say it's still worth going for. This phone hasn't become bad just because of the G3.

Well the phone is R299 per month, and currently I'm paying R359 for an S3, and from what I've seen and heard this is an excellent phone.. I'm also worried that when the G3 comes out it will be R400+

I'd say it will be on par or a bit cheaper than the S5. If you don't need the new features, I'd still recommend it. I'm loving mine :)

Ok cool cause I really don't have so much cash to spend on something that is not miles ahead of G2.. Will be a massive step up from my S3 though :)

Personally, I don't feel the expected price difference is justified. I'm more than happy with my G2 and if I had to change right now, the only phone I'd move to is the S5 (because the G3 isn't available) but even that I'd have to spend at least an extra R2k to do so and it's just not worth it.

You're right, there is a minor upgrade from G3 to G2.. (Screen and some software refinements..)

The G2 is more than adequate for 99% of cellphone users. I'm thinking of getting one myself, instead of the G3 which will be like R8000 prepaid.

Remember, we are on a geek forum, so there is always pressure to get 'the best'. I personally don't care about the lack of a removable battery or the internal storage as I don't use my phone for shooting videos.

My last three phones lasted a max of 2 months before I sold them. I've had this one for nearly two months now but I'm in a situation that I'm gonna spend a lot to get very little differences so I think I'm gonna stick to this until I possibly get a Lumia 930 much later in the year or early next year.

And anyway, I love my phone. More than I loved my first iPhone 5 (second best phone I rate I've had) so I'm in no rush to change it...

I used to be like that.. But the G2 is best for everyday use.. No one here is actually even gonna push this hardware to the limit

I'm pushing it to its storage capacity limit:banghead: 6.6GB of photos..... I've left all the photos I've taken with the various phones I've had since April last year (all being 8 MP or above) so I'm starting to run low now due to a small selection of apps also on the phone

Here are some camera samples shot at 13 MP while my phone was still on 4.2.2 if anyone is interested :)

They are probably scaled down after the upload though

Not really a problem if you have USB OTG

I like having it all on my phone:D. I hate carrying stuff... I primarily use my phone as a camera and a bit of whatsapp, internet and calling.

Most important thing to me are my photos, they aren't moving off my phone:o

I'm excited, my S3 is a grandpa now :'D

Stooped question, given the thread title. Ignore... :)

Yea, the next day delivery nonsense screwed my over as I upgraded online after 12 mid-day on Thursday.. So I'm only getting it tomorrow hopefully.. Should have just gone to the shops and got it.
