Official LG G2

Got my G2 on Friday (the 13th).
Stunning phone, super responsive, etc, etc, etc.
On Saturday I received my first call. My friend said I sounded far away.
Thought nothing of it.
Made a couple of calls today, same issue.
I activated voice enhancements, but this barely made a difference.
I tried the voice recorder and the mic is crystal clear. Its only during calls that the mic is so poor.
Anyone else experience this ?
I have started looking through this thread for others with the same issue, but its a long thread...

Nope. OBF ?
On the other hand, perhaps the network?

Hi
Is the knock unlock feature available in SA yet?

Idiot me - have to turn pattern off to get knock code option ...

Posting here in case someone else has same issue.

My internet performance was really poor whilst connected through wifi, despite good wifi signal and my wife having good performance using same wifi and phone. Was like this for weeks.

Connecting to the 5gHz wifi spectrum sorted the problem for me.

Only if your router supports it though.. But thanks for the tip ;)

I just sold my G2 :( I'm pretty sure I'll get another one some day though so I'll be back :D. In the meantime, I'll help where I can anyway :)

I have, and it's fantastic.

Not only that, but I've installed the CloudyG3 ROM on my phone.
Runs as smooth as silk, the camera is even better and the battery life seems a bit better than stock G2.

OptimusG3 here - and the new Google keyboard from Android L. Ditto on the battery life.

How do you compare the G3 to the G2?

My wife's upgrade is due in 2-3 months and I'm thinking I may try and get her to take that and then I swop my G2 for the G3... :D

Did you install the Android L keyboard via Xposed or as an apk?
Is it better than the G3 keyboard?

I am actually contemplating getting a G2 instead of waiting for the G3. Checked the phone out again over the weekend and it really is very nice. Going to be a lot cheaper too, only thing is the lack of SD card expansion which is a bit of downer. I must say I've managed with my S2 for the last 2 years and I've only had a 1GB sd card in there which is basically empty.

Pros:

Price
Stable Cyanogenmod builds
Battery life

Cons:

No SD card slot
Fingerprint magnet

Anyone want to add some bullet points to this list?

The G2 is serious bang for buck and the specs aren't likely to significantly date soon. I also recently got mine instead of waiting for the G3 and noticing only tweaks in spec upgrades. The sd card slot is the only thing that would make me consider waiting.

Absolutely amazing phone, had one before the S4 I've got now and its definitely a better phone. Buy a case and you lose the fingerprint magnet.

Make use of knock-on or knock-code, it will save lots of time...

Camera is brilliant too

I'm quite happy with the G3 ROM on G2 hardware, actually. I am eyeing the G3, but I don't feel the need to upgrade that I usually would. The software is nicer though...

Guys,

I read that the speaker is too low on this phone; what has your experience been like in this area? I have been thinking about getting the 32GB version On Orange Store.

Nothing wrong with the speaker, I loved mine but the 16gig was 2 small and also needed bigger screen.
Bought a LG G Flex this week and best phone ever!!
