Nothing wrong with the speaker, I loved mine but the 16gig was 2 small and also needed bigger screen.
Bought a LG G Flex this week and best phone ever!!

I've been eyeing the same phone myself. Can you give us a quick comparison?

Well is basically a G2 with bigger screen, huge battery and 32gig storage.

I had been eyeing the G Flex as well when I had my G2. Little difference really, other than the size so at that time I decided to stick to the G2 as I couldn't find a used G Flex and wasn't going to fork out that much for a new one

Same problem with the G3, really. The G2 is still a fantastic phone, even when compared with newer ones.

Thanks for the reply man. Yesterday I was about to checkout on the Orange Store but decided not to go through with the purchase. I also thought about the G Flex but the screen. I'm going to the mall, maybe I will have a chance to have a look at both of them.

Love the curved screen and size very comfortable to use(well for me).
Used basically all phones including Note 3,S4 and 5,Htc one and this is my new favorite phone by far!!

Hi Guys got a G2 last night loving it. Question is there a way to turn off the LTE like on the samsung devices. Cant seem to find

When someone phones me it rings awhile on there side before it begins to ring my side.

Decided to just bite the bullet and get myself a G2.

Went to the Cell C shop today, told them if they can get me a black one then I will upgrade otherwise I'll wait and maybe port to VC. Will hear tomorrow if they stock the black model.

I've a black one, buddy has a white one. No problem with either, but the black phone blends better with the screen.

I had a black one from Cell C

I've a black one, buddy has a white one. No problem with either, but the black phone blends better with the screen.

+1. White is a nice change if you've had black phones previously. Fingerprints are also less visible on the white back if you don't use a cover

I had a white phone for 2 year, want a change now.

Good to hear they do stock the black. Will be getting my new phone next week then

Do yourself a favour and have a look @ the G3 ROM. (Run's like a charm and you'll "have" the G3 for G2 prices!) It comes in 2 flavours: Cloudy G3 or Optimus G3.
I've tried both and prefer the latter --> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2788077

Also, when you've installed a custom ROM, re-calibrate the battery. I've gotten a more steady/stable battery since then --> https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.nema.batterycalibration&hl=en

Thanks, I was looking at those ROMS. Only thing is I know I'm going to just go back to CM so it seems like a bit of waste. I just prefer the stock feel.

I went to CM, came back to stock, then the G3 ROMs. This is where I will be for the foreseeable future. CM is nice, but the LG camera software alone is worth sticking it out, never mind the customisable features of the ROM itself. Add Xposed and you're essentially sorted, CM style.

I'm not really too concerned about camera features. I already use the Google Camera which is super basic so I doubt I'm going to miss anything.

Everyone has their own preferences, I just happen to prefer a stock Android feel even if means giving up some features in favour of simplicity.

I used to have a motorola defy and did the whole custom roms thing. Got a bit tired of nightlies etc, and when I got the G2 thought I'd just stick to the stock, since battery life was so good ... now I am getting itchy fingers .. I really should unsubscribe from this thread!!

The G2 stock is great. No complaints there, but the G3 ROM is absolutely amazing.
It's also easy enough to backup your stock ROM and try out and different ROM.
