Official LG G2

Has anyone tried the LG quick windows cover...... similar to s view cover. Looks great

Expensive though

Cell C managed to somehow bugger up the sim swap, cannot get any mobile data on either of my phones now.

Im going to hopefully get this next week from vodacom when my contract allows upgrade. Any one know if its possible to upgrade just from within the vodacom website? I dont feel like walking into their shops.

No, you have to go in to the store.

Decided to give the Cloudy G3 ROM a try and I'm quite impressed with it. LG really made some great changes over their previous G2 ROM.

So far the only thing not working is the G3 FM radio but you can install the G2 one which apparently works (haven't tried yet and never really use the radio, so not much of an issue).

It also has full 4K video recording (another thing I won't use) and 120fps slow motion HD video capture which is pretty sweet.

Knock-on codes are actually quite useful too. Think I'll stick with this ROM for now and see how it goes.

Is there anyway to backup the stock rom before you root and flash a custom rom for the first time? Otherwise, what do you do if you stuff up the root process the first time around? (I know you can backup the rom after rooting with CWM)

+1. Excellent choice. ;)

Benchmarks not too shabby either:

I had a non-LG but a branded one... Really liked it for what it was but I was happy to ditch it for a normal cover rather than a flip cover

I finally got my phone today. I couldn't connect to the internet except when I used my 8ta micro sim card on my g2. After upgrading to 4.4 kit Kat, I can't connect with both the cell c and 8ta micro sims. Has anyone experienced this and how did you resolve the problem? I called cell c customer care and there guy said he was gonna send me internet settings but nothing yet. Even when I tried *147# and chose data settings, nothing came through.

Check your APN settings. It is under settings, general I think.

I did try *147# again today, the settings came through almost immediately and I installed them. Seconds after that I was able to connect to the internet.

Nonetheless, thanks brother for your input :-).

Finally rooted and flashed Optimus G3 rom. Really impressed, and running faster than stock ROM.

Thank you to all for the advice.
