Official LG G2

Finally rooted and flashed Optimus G3 rom. Really impressed, and running faster than stock ROM.

Thank you to all for yhe advice.

What made you choose the Optimus one over the Cloudy one? Just curious, I'm running Cloudy 1.2 at the moment. Haven't had too many issues except the stock mail app doesn't do Exchange very well and the FM radio will fc when you turn it on (i've installed the g2 radio which seems to work).

Battery life is excellent so far. Had over 6 hours screen on time the other day and battery was still at 16%.

I only chose it on the power if Theseasonswither's earlier recommendation on this thread.

Did not test stock email app or FM radio yet, but still very happy. Probably not much difference.

Battery pretty much the same as on stock , but have not calibrated it yet. Have been using the phone like crazy though!

I'm glad that you are having a great experience with the Optimus 1.2 ROM.

I went and installed the Optimus 1.2 ROM after trying everything from Paranoid Android to Cloudy G3 1.2. I found the best battery life with the Optimus ROM.

I've also installed/played around with a few different kernels and I've decided to stick with Simple Kernel V6. With this kernel I've had even better battery life! --> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2701704

I had Waze on for about 1 1/2 - 2 hours yesterday while driving and only lost between 2 and 3% battery life.
Absolutely phenomenal. ^_^

I also just installed No wake on charge Xposed module, so now my screen won't turn on or off when plugging in/taking out the charger. --> http://forum.xda-developers.com/xpo...|utmcct=/yXPj0N35eN&__utmv=-&__utmk=234446877

Thanks for all the advice. With my S2, Note 1 and Note 2 I used to flash ROMs and kernels very regularly to find my perfect fit (which didn't last long), but now I'll have to resign to following others' (such as yourself) advice.

I think I'll try that kernel too :-) . Any special battery calibration required, before or after flashing it?

I'm glad to be of assistance. :)

All I really do is charge the phone over night and then just use Battery Calibration and then I'm good to go.

*Not too sure if the calibration actually does anything, but it has been suggested to use it, so that's what I do*

@FreeStanler - Let me know what your experience is with Simple Kernel.
I'm on 56% battery remaining and my phone says I have 3 days remaining.

I've been on and off the phone, playing with Xposed and installing/removing apps.

Best.Phone.Ever.

I'm running the Cloudyfa kernel 1.4, no issues here so far except knock code that won't work if the screen is off (still trying to figure this one out).

As far as I can see, Cloudy's kernel does not support knock code when the screen is off.

Simple Kernel will wake up with the double tap and then request the knock code.

Hi guys, I recently lost my G2 and have a G3. I have a used Spigen metal slate armor cover, white original LG G2 cover and a spigen screen protector tat I would like to get rid off. If you interested PM me with an offer for all 3. Thanks

I'm actually considering getting a G2 for R3500. What are the opinions of owners? Worth it? Good buy? Objectively speaking, now. It's mainly the camera that appeals to me.

My wife had a contract renewal a week or so back. She had an S4 but said she was tired of Sammy. So she took a G2.
Flipping impressed. Battery is way better than her S4 and the camera is fantastic. Really impressed.

Mm I'm seeing a lot of really good reviews on this thing. Thinking to just give it a shot.

Is anyone running Android L Developer Preview roms yet?

I'd be interested in the Spigen armour cover. Would you consider a single sale?
