Not having much luck flashing TWRP. It is rooted and all the other things it needs but it just gives an error when I run the .bat file. Meh anyway I keep trying. Want to get shot of stock rom bloat.
Update: I seem to have bricked it using Flashify.
Owait no I haven't. Whew.
But I'm pretty sure I mucked up my recovery image good and proper.
What do you mean? Are you able to boot into recovery mode?
No it gives an error message and then starts barfing on my desktop if i try to go to recovery. But the phone boots up just fine.
Interesting. Perhaps download a newer recovery image and flash it again?
Yeah i'm pretty much just going to try... stuff... now. In a few days I'll either have Cloudy rom or a pretty mantelpiece decoration.
Doesn't rom manager work on the G2?
I just used this method to install TWRP for my G2: http://www.droidviews.com/install-twrp-recovery-on-lg-g2-running-android-4-4-2-kitkat/
Was pretty straight forward.

Mine was totally destroyed, no touch at all.. Took it to Vodacom world. Person helping me wanted the IMEI number, said he cannot book it in without it. After some frustrated minutes got it eventually booked in.
Got SMS today to say it has been moved to advance repair wtf, the screen is not working how difficult can this be to replace the screen. The phone turns on was able to make calls and receive via BT, still no QUOTE on how much it is going to cost. Checked it in on Monday morning.
Wonder how long this is going to ta take.... And cost.
New Iphone out next week. Always interesting to see what Samsung will copy next. The twrp flashing broke knock on. Anyway I will flash the Rom later. Very impressed with battery life. I've been waiting in line from 9-2 surfing nearly constantly on forums and it's on 35%. IPhone would have bitten the dust long ago.
Took them two years to catch up on chamfering so might be a waitNew Iphone out next week. Always interesting to see what Samsung will copy next.
They will put a whole new LCD and Glass, if you took it ti Vodaworld it should take 2 weeks and you gonna have to pay a lot I think, mine came back unfixed from china town, they said it was risky to put glass only and if the LCD also broke while they were fixing they wanted 1200..
Im gonna leave mine as is, if your screen works but touch does not, it is literally a 250 rand job (that's how much the glass costs), I don't understand the justification of a hefty repair cost like 3 grand..
