Official LG G2

Just want to express my love for this phone again :D

This screen

I still cannot get over how beautiful this screen is. The excellent battery life helps too.

Agreed. Absolutely love the screen.

Finally got around to installing CloudyG3 and rooting it. I quite like the overall look of the G3 software. Much more refined compared to the stock stuff. Will see how much I enjoy it day to day.

I doubt you'll want to change to anything else soon, at least that's the case for me. It really is a good skin, only thing I miss from CM is the dedicated settings shade - Cloudy has it in the notification ribbon but you have to scroll through it to get to what you want.

Have you tried G3 Tweaksbox? Might make the navigation of the toggles easier, seeing as it has the option to select which toggles you want displayed.

I'm really enjoying the experience of using CloudyG3. LG have done really well to polish the UI and have functions that are not overly intrusive. Coming from using AOSP-based ROM's for the better part of two years now, this is a welcome change, and I hope that more OEM's follow the simpler manner that LG has approached things.

Not perfect, mind, but a substantial improvement over Touchwiz.

Looks like it's only me here...

But, I'm having an odd Wifi issue with CloudyG3. I can connect to the office Wifi, but am not able to do so at home. Not sure what is configured differently... Annoying to say the least.

Not an issue I've been having at all, sorry.

So I spent a larger part of last night trying to figure it out, to no avail. Flashed CM11S, which connects flawlessly.

Rather disappointed, I really do like CloudyG3. Don't think that my router setup is the issue, it's normal WPA2 encryption. Seems to be an issue with the G3 as well. Perhaps an update will fix it.

That's very strange. Been using CloudyG3 for about 2 months, never had any wifi issues.

Hey G2ers - thinking of getting a new G2 for my upgrade, want to save some money and not get the latest and greatest - you reckon it's good enough for daily use for 2 years going forward?

I can't guarantee it will safeguard you from upgrade gatjeuk, but it should cope quite well for a while still.
