Official LG G2

I got my G2 in January an I literally flashed Cyanogenmod 11 the very same day. Never actually used it with the stock software. I'm considering going back to stock software..

Has anyone gone back to stock from cyanogenmod? How did you find the stock rom in comparison?

Rather go Cloudy if you're going to the LG software side. It's G3 software, much improved from G2.

I have tried many different ROMS, including Cloudy G3 and I have finally settled on the Optimus G3 ROM.
I've found that it's smoother than Cloudy's version and battery life is better. (I have not even flashed a different kernel, using the stock Optimus G3 1 this time round...)

Oppo to offer Color OS on LG G2, recruits beta testers now

Did you like the so called Color OS running on the Oppo Find 7 and Find 7a? Oppo’s take on the default Android looks and behavior was quite good, with lots of new eye-candies, features and services.

As of today Oppo is recruiting beta testers with LG G2 willing to test the Color OS ROM on their smartphone. Once completed, Oppo will launch the Color OS ROM to all compatibles LG G2.

Oppo is searching for users with unlocked LG G2, model D802 (that’s the European flavor of the device). If you own one, you can apply for the beta test program right here. The recruitment program will last until September 19.

The selected candidates will be notified within 5 days of their reply to the thread. Good luck!

My wife got her upgrade last week.
I luckily managed to find the G2 at a store in Canal Walk.
Apparently the G2 is discontinued as the G3 is out according to Vodacom and MTN... :|
It's going to be tough to find it now :(

What store in canal walk? just down the road for me!

I'm looking for a lockscreen replacement that I can still use knock on with. The default lockscreen is 1) quite ugly, with the glitzy effects and the icon cropping at the bottom; and 2) is glitchy with music controls from Doubletwist so if the DT lockscreen is enabled it shows both the DT -> tap -> LG lockscreen -> swipe -> home, which is convoluted.

Are you using stock rom?

I actually quite like the lockscreen, so haven't bothered looking at alternatives :D

What effects are you referring to btw? The weather effects or the actual swipe unlock animations?

Yeah the whole lot just seems tacky to me, but I could live with it if I could get the music controls to function properly (as described above), so it's more a functional issue than the look of it.

Aah. I use Play Music and Plex as players, lock screen controls seem to work fine.

WidgetLocker. You're welcome.

Just want to express my love for this phone again :D

This screen

I still cannot get over how beautiful this screen is. The excellent battery life helps too.
