I looked all over and the only place I could find was on ebay. They also have the Indian version (I think it's the Indian version) that has the removable battery and microSD slot.

Found a Korean G2 with 32gb and a memory card slot.

It has a smaller removable battery, only 2600mAh.

Looks interesting.

Not convinced that the frequencies are ok for SA.

2G and 3G looks ok, the 4G worries me.

Wonder if I should take a punt, have never been able to get 3G to work faster than 4G anyway (Vodacom) ?

In the process of choosing a new phone. Undecided between the G2 or the Note 3. I really am a big fan of the Nexus 5, and this would be my choice of phone in a heart beat. However, this is not an option in SA. Hence the G2 would be a 2nd, if not a better option due to the slightly better quality.

I want to know, if anyone has actually rooted their G2. If so, how has it turned out? I've been looking at reviews of the G2 with the CM11 mod onto it. It looks pretty fly, but haven't been able to watch many as not people seem to be rooting and doing actual video uploads.

Rooted mine, waiting for stable CM11 to be released then I'll probably ROM it - was running 10.2 on my previous phone. Rooting this was straightforward too
