Young out injured. Evans is back. Nani will most likely play on the left wing then I assume. Carrick back in midfield with Cleverley. Kagawa and RvP up front. Tomorrow's game should be a goodie :)

Southampton: K Davis; Clyne, Fonte, Hooiveld, Fox; Ward-Prowse, Schneiderlin, S Davis, Puncheon, Lallana; Lambert. Subs: Gazza****, Rodriguez, Lee, Guly, Richardson, Mayuka, Seaborne.

Manchester United: Lindegaard; Rafael, Ferdinand, Vidic, Evra; Valencia, Carrick, Cleverley, Kagawa; Valencia, Van Persie, Welbeck. Subs: De Gea, Evans, Giggs, Hernandez, Nani, Scholes, Powell.

Saints deserved the win, but man, first good corner Nani has ever taken.

Well done Robin!

ROBIN VAN PERSIE!!!! He's scored more goals than the whole of Arsenal haha.

Still a bad game for us. We were very poor in the midfield.

Woot what a game... thought we were going to loose it. Classic united!

Congrats :)

Now can he please retire so somebody else can have a shot at winning something :D

He let Mourinho, Mancini, Wenger and Ancelotti play a little bit. Now it's time for him to take his ball back :D

United played terribly today. Midfield was non existent. Carrick was HORRIBLE! As soon as Scholes came on, the entire game changed. He is a magician, even at 37.

Keep on playing like that, we'll be lucky to finish top 4.

actually Cleverley left him so exposed he couldn't cover everyone which allowed Southampton to hit us on the break... Evra needs to take a piss off, Rafael needs to learn to defend and stop being a cowboy - relying on Valencia to defend for him!

When Scholes came on he dominated the midfield and make those awesome long wing passes that was pure class

However that midfield looked like they wern't interested in winning... the only players that attempted to do something was Valencia and RVP - add Scholes and Hernandez... actually couldn't really blame them... our midfield was utter crap

RVP, Welbeck, Kagawa, Cleverley, Carrick, Valencia just did not work...

4-4-2... somewhat with no LM and Welbeck running around like a lost fart, losing ball retrieving the ball only to give it away. Lets not forget Lindgaard's shocking clearances and punts up field...

Yeah Cleverley was invisible today. Didn't do anything. Evra was horrible. Didn't close down the player who crossed in for the first goal and slipped for the 2nd (not his fault) And Clyne (I think) had him fooled big time in the box at one point. Evra is finished.

Rafael again was too attack happy and didn't track back fast enough.

As soon as I saw the lineup I knew we were in trouble. Kagawa needs to play directly behind the striker. Even then he roams a lot. Welbeck was forced onto the left wing where he isn't effective and thus did nothing (not his fault)

I still think we're going to struggle this season. Especially against the big teams in Europe.

As fishy said, he can't do it all himself, especially when the defence is doing some shocking things. At least I saw him making some passes upfield, two of which landed at RvP's feet when Cleverly and Kagawa were nowhere to be found.

Southampton had a very good plan today, sit with the majority behind the ball and take out the one player who can unlock those tight defences, ie Kagawa.

Lindegaard is shocking with his distribution.

Evra needs a lekker clout. At fault for both goals. (OK the slip wasn't his fault so much, but still). Let's see what Buttner can do, please SAF.

Ok I'll agree he was exposed. As I said Cleverley was invisible. Carrick did have some good balls over the top. Kagawa was also quite ineffective today. Nani should definitely start on the left.

Defense is still looking very shaky, understandable but still.

Evra needs an extended period on the bench.
