You're making my point here, reactions from the crowd to an under performing manager isn't necessarily an indication of fans plasticity. In fact i would go one step further and say that your real plastic fans wont bother too much with forms of dissent, they will just move on to supporting other clubs.

If you look at things in context, then Uniteds position is just as much a disaster as Liverpools was. I repeat again though, the vast majority of supporters are still very supportive of the team. The supporters during the 0-3 loss to Liverpool, chanting whilst Liverpool were scoring.

So? They werent exactly acting like fans of the year and they certainly weren't helping their team.

I don't know. You make a good point. Just when you read the hundreds of comments on Sky Sports after every game, they all are saying Moyes should be fired.

I agree, plastic fans will more than likely move on, but I believe that is how they ended up with Man Utd in the first place.

Regarding Rafa, I agree that it did not help the team, but you can see why he was never accepted. He came from a rival. \

Moyes is a different story, he is trying his best with what he has, and granted, it has not come off but Im sure in time he'l do better. He didn't inherit the greatest team...

I don't get this picture at all.

1) Chelsea sack their managers regardless if they have good or bad seasons.
2)Because United has never bought expensive players. (They've already spent big on Fellaini, RvP and Mata in the recent past)
3)Whats wrong with remembering the good times?
4)That trophyless manager(and Arsenal) is doing a much better job than Moyes/United is at the moment.
5)What does the last sentence even mean? (What's this United Way??)

I think Moyes should be fired, you can hold that opinion yet still be supportive of Manchester United.

Undoubtedly United have plastic fans, i think a lot of them have already left, apparently facebook and twitter numbers have dropped some. You're a Liverpool supporter right? If Liverpool continue to progress and find success, they will have the same issue.

Moyes didnt inherit the greatest team i agree, but he also didnt inherit the 7th best team. Right now i would say 70% of the problems are Moyes related and 30% the squad.

I agree, it doesn't achieve anything positive, it only makes United look like a bit of a circus. The media of course are loving it though, even if its probably the idea of 5-10 people.

Exactly. I think John Barnes said, support the badge on the front of the shirt rather than the name on the back. Players come and go, as do managers but the club will remain.

It's an issue with all sports, it's just how things are.

Fully agree with your first 3 points.

As for the 4th, I think the top 5 have better teams than United, don't you? Everton have been playing really well, and I feel only they have a worse squad than Utd. But you seem to disagree? It's debatable I guess.

Agreed, so why single United out and call their fans plastic.
I'm not saying you did.
In fact F1 went as far as to defend other fans. Granted there was not planes flying around with banners, but I think anyone will agree that the majority of fans support Moyes at the matches, home and away.
United went from 1st to 7th. That qualifies for a similar situation as Hodgson with Liverpool, yet the fans reaction was then justified. Liverpool fans are joking at how Moyes' comments are Hodgson esque, so why are United fans not afforded the same? Chosen one or not.

Personally I will be patient, I will accept the banter from rival fans. I will support Moyes until he leaves or is fired. United have been very good since I started watching football.
With or without Moyes United will rise again and many of the supporters will have gone through the bad times and enjoy the good when they come.

Only if you're looking at things under Moyes, i would say at the start of the season United had the 3rd best squad. The facts are that Moyes took over the champions by 11 points, invested 70 million and had the emergence of Januzaj. The season has been an absolute failure, basically the worst case scenario was achieved, the only thing where minimums have been achieved is the champions league.

Pretty sure there are performance related clauses, if he gets dismissed one of them will be triggered and he wont be due that much.
