Wellbeck has improved alot I agree and He will even get better with having RVP and Rooney to learn from and because he will need to prove himself against the best and it will only make him play betterdbecks ...im not as excited as i would be if we got someone else ...if we got sneijder or someone yeah but kagawa got me excited
welbeck has improved alot last season..chicha has that predator instinct the same what berba had ...
rooney is our worker and striker, the reason why we never bought tevez cause he was a rooney ...so why do we need another striker if chicha and welbeck can do the job
not saying he is bad ...just saying 24mil for a 29year old who had one good season out of 7 or so at arsenal ...im not too happy unless he starts banging the goals ...
but yeah looking at nani, kagawa, young rooney welbeck chicha, valencia and now RvP i must say we will get the title this season ....
I seriously dont see how you cannot get excited about RVP
Stick: You a holland supporter, thought you would be most excited because of that if nothing at all
Im excited because its been a while since we had that superstar fear factor in our side like the days of Ronnie - Rooney - Tevez - Berba.
Adding Kagawa and RVP to Rooney, Nani (who is looking so good), Valencia (who has the superpowers of the No7 jersey), Young (always attacking), Cleverly (who is looking like real quality and a MF who runs everywhere but also has the techinical ability along with his work rate), Ando (who seems to be finding some form) - plus Vidic is back and Rafael looked really good in the Olympics - F**K THAT LOOKS EXCITING TO ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
EDIT: WE also beat a club like City with all their money, gives me hope in the transfer market and I love when a player wants to play for a certain club and nothing else - Compare that to the Moura deal...
I'd rather have Huntelaar than Van Persie to be honest. He scored last night for Netherlands (who were wacked 4-2 by Belgium :/)
I must say it is a massive signing. Van Persie is going to need to produce from the get go. No time to settle in or adjust, he must start banging in goals from Monday onwards.
Huntelaar is nowhere near RVP - nowhere near!!!!!
In which league? not the PremHe had a better goal scoring record last season than Van Persie. 48 goals in 47 games.
SAF has said Van Persie should be available for the Everton game. Would be cool if he makes his debut.
For all the column inches recently devoted to the notion, it is still a stunning transfer; one which sends out the resounding message that United are not willing to wait for the future at the cost of the present. That finishing second cannot become a habit. That there can be no repeats of the devastating manner in which last season cut to black.
The Reds’ transfer policy in recent years has been to look to the future, to savour the savings and satisfaction gleaned from grooming potential, rather than buying superstars. Since 2010, Chris Smalling, Chicharito, David De Gea, Phil Jones, Shinji Kagawa and Nick Powell all joined in their teens or early 20s. - The signing of van Persie, however, flies in the face of that mantra as an established star, a ready-made goalscorer who has dominated the Premier League.
The new recruits embellish an attack already wonderfully varied in its composition. Van Persie brings his established gifts to a forward line containing the all-round brilliance of Wayne Rooney, the limitless potential of Danny Welbeck and the predatory prowess of Chicharito. Supplied by Kagawa, Tom Cleverley, Nani, Antonio Valencia and Ashley Young on the wings or in attacking midfield positions, losing anything on goal difference appears unlikely for the foreseeable future.
An intriguing subplot amid the whole van Persie saga is that, according to widespread media reports, the striker chose United over City. Sir Alex has openly admitted that he will not compete with the astronomical sums on offer across Manchester or across the Channel at Paris St Germain. Popular media chatter insists that United had advanced talks with Samir Nasri last summer and Lucas Moura this year, until money hollered and both players succumbed to the lure of the lucre.
Robin van Persie is an investment aimed at reaping instant dividends. If those are secured, then the future - near and distant - will appear brighter than ever.
I think a 50mil price tag is pressure but not a 24mil price tag for an already proven Prem star...Him settling inlcudes playing in the same league that he was just player of the year in but in a better side..I didnt see any problems with Nasri settling in or Kagawa or even when Ronaldo went to Real Madrid for that matter - quality is quality
Huntelaar is nowhere near RVP - nowhere near!!!!!
In which league? not the Prem
Yeah that would be - too much excitement yoh! The transfer window is feeling so much better now - can relax and see without any stress if we are in for any other players - whoever will be a bonus
RVP and ROONEY!!!!!!!!!!!:twisted::twisted::twisted::twisted::twisted:german league
have you seen hunterlaars record for the dutch as well
