A quick story. I was ingame with a couple of [IRF] guys on Rundown. This was quite some time ago. Sitting in the zinc house, first level, above the channel. I fragged [IRF]Drift coming up the stairs and then jumped into a crouch onto the window ledge, looking across the map. He had a quick respawn and came running down the channel, priming a nade, to chuck it up where I just killed him. I heard water, looked down, and fragged him before he could release the nade.

He was like: "HTF did you know i was there!?" Me: "I heard water and looked down." Him: "I have Ninja Pro. Impossible, you fkcng hack."

Now being accused of hacking is nothing new to me, but getting accused by a well seasoned player is something different entirely. I tried reasoning with him, but to this day he remains convinced. He is, of course, just plain wrong. A pity too, as he sounds like a decent bloke.

The point is, perhaps I didn't hear him disturbing the water. It could've been a player without Ninja pro on the other side of the map jumping into water, which caused me to look down. Perhaps, like you say, things were quiet and I did hear him, even with Ninja pro. I'm still not sure, but a snap decision on his part, with no real grounds and to this day he will disconnect when I join the lobby. A pity really.

LOL... It is satisfying and annoying! I mean, as mentioned before, I get these games where I manage 20 - 30 kills in HC TDM with only 7/8 deaths. Let me say this: I DO NOT HACK. Never have and never will. Then some snot nose brat pipes up and not only calls you a hacker but make comments that would upset the most placid guy. You can ask Kyubi and a lot of the "older' COD4 players. I only started playing online last year and it was a hectic learning curve! When MW2 came out I immediately bought it because I did not want to join once everyone has played it for so long that I would suck...

The first month or so was rough while getting to know the maps, but once I did that, I seemed to get better and better...

Lately I am in the top three of the map most of the times. (except on Wasteland - I SUCK on that map...) :)

So pay no mind to the comments of the pre pubescent little wimps who don't know their arses from their elbows...

I know what you mean, I only started playing online this year, guys were already on prestige 10!! I played for ages to get any decent kills. I've gone from being consistently last to average. I still think my reaction time are just to slow. Prior to MW2, I had not lanned a game since HL1 was out!!! Only got ADSl at home a few months ago!

The first few times it is kinda awesome and you go "thanks for the compliment", then it is simply annoying as hell. :D

Same here bud. I only started playing cod 4 in the beginning of 2009. It was a huge learning curve. I used to get negative K/D everygame lol. It took me about 2 months to get used to maps/game modes etc. I only got a little better after 2 months. It was easier grasping Modern Warfare 2 after playing cod4. and yes they can ask me. You a haxor :p

Prestige 10 is as high as it goes. That means level 0-70 x 10! :P

Recently it's been getting better, at least from my perspective. I've been in games where every second kiddie is whining and complaining and other members of the community are telling them to shut up and play the game. I think that's the sort of thing we need more of - the community policing good behaviour internally. When someone who has been tuning 'BS!' and 'OMFG GAY 18s!' every time he dies gets told off by 90% of the server they tend to leave, making it a more pleasant experience for everyone concerned.

There's a lot of kinds playing this game hey? I'm quite surprised! Not that I have anything against kids at all, but sometimes they are just so damn annoying :S especially if they shout and go mad hahaha.
 
considering it, The first pack seems to be a waste of time, hardley ever play them. Sux when one clannie member does not have the pack...
 
Yea. We have the same problem. Then we all end up skipping the map anyway....I have played a few games on the the first map pack though. I find some of the maps way more fun than the older maps...

Maybe, I still feel that the last one, although it was good, was not worth the additional money.
Even at half the price there will still be a lot of complaining so.... But that carnival maps looks interesting

Just consider, that just over 4 months we can play the new one, if that is too long to wait, then you should get it.



PS. I see on steam if you pre-order the new Resurgence Pack, it is $13.49, which saves you a huge $1.51.......lol

Why are people suddenly putting me in their clans and such? last night was the second night in a row where:
A) I was pissed (drunk :p)
B) ask to join a clan
C) played in their clan :/,

Wtf is going on here? Oh, and I haven't really been playing,maybe 3 games a week... been too busy.

The pre-order must have been put up today. It was not available last night....ordering today :)
 
you usually do automatically, anyone within SA (normally) who has the best connection / line speed will be the host in your lobby. Thats how it works...

Explanation: iWNet via Steam, will choose the best person to host, it could be anyone of the people in your lobby / party.
 
Wow, now im confused, lol, are there no local servers like SGS? or does it work differently?
