I have to agree with some of those compliments about Jantjies... he marshalls that backline great into the gaps...

I've never heard so many compliments from in game and in studio commentators about the Lions in years

Oi! Fanie, you're a Lions fan, you know what these boys are about. They've been deserving of ALL the praise for a while now.

Missed the last 30 minutes, but glad to see the Lions held on! Totally deserved from the part I watched.

I think this win has unfortunately (for them) installed them as one of the early season favourites. For so long they were a walking bonus point. Now though, a team to be reckoned with. If they stay relatively injury free, they'll be right up there come the sharp end of the comp!

So proud of the Lions! And to think, I replaced many of my Fantasy Lions players for Chiefs ones.

Well done by the Lions. They had a great game.

They just need to get proper numbers on their jerseys. The puzzle motif is an eyesore and I found it difficult to identify players by their numbers.

It's for Ernie Els' autism charity.

What a great performance by the Lions!! Good God, but that was arguably the best performance I've ever witnessed from a Lions/TVL/Golden Lions team!

10 minutes in I thought the Chiefs were going to put 30 past them. The tempo, the skill, the attacking prowess the Chiefs showed in the first 10 had me huffing and puffing in my lazy boy. But the Lions absorbed and countered with the same ferocity!! Magnificent!!!

I have to say right off that I am no Lions fan, but what an amazing game and win for them - WELL DONE!!!
And the good news I think for SA rugby in general is when we look at the try scorers - new names and new faces... Plus of course Warren Whiteley who had a powerful game as we have come to expect of him... Hopefully the SA selectors watched this game Warren!!
And well done too to Acker who has always believed in his boys...

^ Really hope poor Whiteley gets more of a look in with the new Bok coach, he's immense.

Grief, proper rematch of the final. So tense.

Hurricanes need to be way more clinical.

Barrett is becoming a master general.
