My predictions for the week-end

Blues v Hurricanes - Hurricanes by 6
Force v Brumbies - Brumbies by 8
Cheetahs v Bulls - Bulls by 12
Crusaders v Highlanders - Crusaders by 18
Reds v Waratahs - Waratahs by 9
Lions v Stormers - Stormers by 12
Sharks v Chiefs - Sharks by 3

BBSA - I will not even try to predict scores but here is my take on likely outcomes, post weekend, in terms of points:

Blues v Hurricanes 1 - 4
Agreed - 'canes by a small margin. I foresee a bonus point loss for the Blues on this one.

Western Force v Brumbies 4 - 2
The Force, at home, can and will take this. They (like cheaters) are no stranger to spoiling country buddy dreams. But it will be tight - another less than 7 bonus loss and possibly 4 tries for Brumbies. Force will resort to kicking game, if they have the depth

Cheetahs v Bulls 2 - 5
Cheetahs can easily get both bonuses but will struggle to win. I think they may only manage 3 tries, but I will give the benefit of the doubt here - they want to make an early impact and unfortunately for them, face the best

Crusaders v Highlanders 4 - 1
Agreed. At least 4 points but will be looking for a bonus and early log league on points difference while Highlanders will be looking to deny that.

Reds v Waratahs 0 - 5
'tarhds can do better and probably will.

Lions v Stormers 0 - 4
Unless the lions have some serious surprises up their sleeves, Stormers will get their early and probably only significant points and win

The Sharks Chiefs 4 - 1
This is not going to be an easy game to call and I think it could go either way, to be honest. The only reason I am calling the Sharks to win is out of SA patriotism and nothing else. Agreed - sharks by 3

GreGorGy, seem our biggest difference is the Force. On last years form sure they should take it but they have lost key players, most notably Matt Giteau.

For the rest - Nice Analyst

He said yellow cards could be produced earlier in games this year to deal with players unwilling to adjust their attitude.
So how does 14 vs 15 for 10 minutes enhance the spectacle? I am so sick and tired of games being decided on the back of a yellow card.... Ruining the game IMHO..

I have a good feeling about this year - seeing 3-4 SA teams in the top halve of the S14

Are those Yellow cards or points you're predicting?
Those will be similar.

Didnt expect that from the Canes, mind you Blues have been slow starters in recent years

So supersport still using the same old song from the 2009 Lions series to South Africa for the 2010 super 14. What a joke, I think they added some low pitch noise to spice it up rofl. And yes, this does bother me. It makes you realise how much effort supersport are putting into everything. Every single rugby match has that fing song.

Hope the lions sharks and Weepee perform well this season. The cheetahs may start performing well from next week forward :p:D

LOL. I don't think it will be as easy as some Bulls supporters believe it will be.

For some bloody reason the lions and the cheetahs always perform at 145% against other SA teams and at 40% against Aus and NZ teams...

So you're saying the cheetahs will never ever win the super 14/15? :D

And it looks like it's a massive effort for the Sharks too this year, if their first 2 "practice" games are anything to go on :)

Still like you APoc, I see the Sharks culling all in their path :D

At least the season has started and the wait is over :D
