Has anybody given Angry Birds a try, tell me what you think as i totally enjoy the game, just found the beta to be a bit short. Do you guys think that when the full version is released it will be a paid application and will it be available to us in S.A.

Is Handcent really THAT much better than the standard SMSing capabilities of the Galaxy S? I'm pretty impressed with the messaging capabilities already... Threaded conversations, decent on-screen keyboard, quick access to sharing photos from your gallery via all available protocols (even Bump!!!) and the awesome "swipe-left-to-message" from the contacts list...

I don't think it is. I tried it for a while, didn't see the point, so then I removed it. Maybe some people want those old fashioned pop-ups when they get a new message.
The interface looks ugly unless you spend some time customising it.
I enjoy it more mostly for the way it handles delivery reports. Other than that the widget is the only other thing i make use of.
The "swipe left to message" works with handcent also when you set it as default.

Ok, but the delivery reports and widget are a non-issue for me. I'm perfectly happy the way the standard messaging capabilities are implemented.

I had one colleague just grab one at lunch now and another heading over to MTN right now.

the lady at the MTN store knows my voice on the phone, she is hogging Galaxy S for myself and 3 more colleagues now.
we took the last 2 in stock.
More stock arriving at the store tomorrow.
It sux. It's a pitty that it is such a story to "port" from NM to MTNSP.
