I tried but doesn't seem to work. I click Factory data reset > Reset Phone > Erase everything....then nothing but blank black screen.
I have tried clearing the data from download manager app and clearing cache from market app. No luck that way either.
No do the factory reset from CWM
Very extreme. All apps gone now and still didn't work. Looks how it did with first startup. I will just do an install again using wipe function. Hopefully that helps.
Damn dude, seems like you've got the worse luck with your phone. Wish I could help but I'm not having any problems.
It will come right. Just need to get it right once. I was virtually there...then Voodoo lady messed it up IMO. Doing a clean install now whilst doing nothing at work. I really hope I don't get important phone calls.
Sorry to hear it didn't solve your problems GL
Yeah same here, it seems to be a problem, read something about it not using the Samsung Gallery App which causes a battery drain...Okay, fixed by reinstalling from scratch with ODIN. Now next problem. LoL. My background wallpapers cant be the widescreen type that moves if I select them through the Gallery. Any idea why? My lock screen wallpaper also cannot be selected. I appreciate what help I have received so far...thanks. I was so close but now just another darn flaw somewhere.
So I flashed my SGS with Docs latest Rom from their kitchen, but I have the following problem. Sometimes calls dont come through, I just get the sms saying I had a missed call.
PDA: I9000XwJS3
PHONE: I9000XXJPY
CSC: I9000OXAJPY
Build info: 2011.01
Modem is XEU (european)
Its totally random. Have tried putting it on GSM only, disabling the data connection....but nothing helped. Anyone have any idea? The previous Rom I had worked fine....does anyone know if I can "downgrade" to the old Rom just using CRM? Any help will be appreciated.

Dude...ihad the same problem...JPY modem does not work well for me as well. I suggest that you flash another modem for better reception... I flashed to ZSJPE...download it from here:

Flash via cwm.
Are you sure iut is not just Vodacom issue (me assuming that is your network) but that is what happens to me every now and then but it also happened on last phone so it cannot be my SGS.

Well I have ...JPY modem with Vodacom and my phone works fine with calls and connecting and I'm in a place this week where the reception is quite wack.
Cool man no probDude...I still need to send you those apps...will do soon![]()
