Will give this a go then, i used the configurator and selected WIPE but everything was still there.

Usually i select the Wipe option in CWM didn't do it this time round.

What modem you running?

using the ZSJPE modem....works great! whats your battery life on average with moderate daily usage? im between 32 and 38 hours.....moderate usage...usual facebook, twitter, work emails, mybroadband, phone calls, sms, whatsapp...

Is anybody getting LOST.DIR folders appearing and then music or images are missing from the external SD card? This is my only problem i have with my Galaxy S I9000 on Froyo, but it was doing it before the upgrade also. Card have been formatted by PC and phone. Any ideas??

Are you using any lagfix, if so which one, and with what settings?
 
As per above.. file system ? are you shutting down/rebooting your phone properly.. quickboot can cause problem... extended power menu is the best...

I have no lag fixes or any funny stuff on the phone. Im also paranoid about how i switch off my phone due to data loss that could happen, so i always use the extended power menu, and make sure all applications are closed. The phone realy works perfect this is my only problem : (
 
During last night a new LOST.DIR appeared and this time all my music have disappeared. So in my 1st LOST.DIR file i got, my pics and photo's went, and now two days later ( without switching off the phone and stuff ) my music is gone. This is real s**t, how can i get anything done without being able to save my stuff..... now everything's gotta go on the phone memory and hope it stays there.

Sounds like you have a faulty SD card. If you are not running any strange file systems and are careful about how you turn your phone off, then this is the most likely scenario. I would take it in to a samsung service centre for checking.

It could also be your music software of course. Are you running the stock music software or are you using something from the market. Doest it frequently / ever force close?

Also, is it the SD card that came with the phone, or is it another one you installed yourself? If so, what make, size and model number is it?

Hi S&B, they are usually just .png images (for transparency) as in the example above, just unzip them on your SD card somewhere.

You can apply to shortcuts on your home page using the likes of the DesktopVisualizer widget from the market, and if you want to change the icons at the bottom of the screen, then Launcher Pro will do that (if you want to resize icons you will need the paid for version of LP).

I played around with the above method a bit using one of the examples from XDA:

Don't really want to change to Launcher Pro though.
Destop Visualizer and Launcher Pro really work well together.

Would be so much easier if there was a CWM method of doing the icons on the home screen though.

Anyway - at least I've gotten some more reading to do :)
 
Okay, I am looking for an app that can control my whole wireless network. I know of iMediaShare, but it only streams from the phone to my PS3. I want my phone to be able to tell my ps3 to get stuff from my pc and play that.

Does anyone know if it is possible.

Other launchers also allow you to change the icons on the bottom, not sure what you are using, but try a long press on the icon and see what happens.

And DesktopVisualiser should work with any launcher.
