I cant believe the garbage i have to read in this thread. Deans is a Flippen SUPER HERO of a coach suddenly after winning one game in the Tri Nations.
PDV is a loser/brainless coach because he lost one game in the Tri Nations.
I hate fake supporters.
Sorry, got to disagree with you. If Deans were such a genius OZ wouldn't be last would they? Its what and HOW Deans achieved the won that counts, In one week he went from a weak losing team to one that THRASHED the champs. NOT by fluke but by introducing the changes required to make it happen.
The fact is technically PDV is out of his league (Confirmed by captain Smith), but you wont understand that would you. He seems a good manager (When his mouth is shut) and the team likes him for that but then that would not make him the best YET because we win matches when the other teams are not on strengh. We should and could have win yesterday but we did not, simply because PDV could not realise during the second half of the previous match that we are found wanting. Deans saw it and made the changes required to give us a thrashing. Now who was the best coach then?
I hope the same would not be repeated next week. That all depends on PDV.
I will support the coach and team regardless of the results. Yes I hate losing and want to win every week but we've won 4/5 tri-nation games, won the world cup twice, won the super14, won the 7's world championship, beaten the Lions for the 1st time in over 20 years. What's there not to celebrate??!!!

Anyway speaking for myself as a proud South African, I will support the coach and team regardless of the results. Now if ever there was a man ill equipped with the people skills to manage and coach the Boks he was it. Did I ever stop supporting the Boks because of it?!?!! Not a duck!!!Would you, would you really? Did you support Andre Markgraaf to the hilt when he pulled apart and destroyed one of the best Bok teams we've ever seen?
Quite the contrary. Graham Henry, the current AB coach is the same one that coached them to an embarrassing quarter final exit from the 2007 World cup..Sometimes you need to admit that the coach is wrong (I'm not saying this is one of those times); but you can't just blindly accept things because I can guarantee you that neither Australia nor New Zealand do.

What you need to blindly accept are the facts, we ARE ranked 1 in the world, we WON a test series against the British Lions, we WILL win the tri-nations...
Boet you can't be supporting the Boks but not the coach? No, no, no, no, no. That's not what you said! I would never stop supporting the Boks either, but:
Boet you can't be supporting the Boks but not the coach?
I mean if SARU were to say to John Smit we support you alll the way but have no confidence in the coach....
So while I may not have believed Markgraff was the best man for the job I still supported the Boks and by definition that includes the coaching staff..
fair enough...Er... yes you can. Once again, supporting the Boks and supporting the coach aren't exclusive.
If your argument were really the case then Markgraff might still be coach. When SARU no longer supports the coach, well, they fire them. Or do you believe this never happens, that would be quite naive.
When there is a huge outcry about the coach and that the he is messing up the entire team, is the country suddenly a bunch of traitors for wanting to see their team be the best they can be?
I'm sorry, but your argument is flawed and supporting the team does not, by extension, mean supporting the coaching of that team (nor the management, or some individual players).
fair enough...
haha, Indeed and he was given 2 bites at the cherry!!!!On the flip side, no one could ever be as bad as Markgraff - which gives every coach in the last 10 years a good headstart![]()
It must be very difficult hating oneself then.
