Official Vodafone 785 / Smart 4 Mini thread

Been playing around with it too much so I can't really say. Yesterday I got about 8 hours from iy. That included 90 minutes of GPS tracking which can be pretty heavy on these smaller phones. Will see how well it does if I track longer rides (3h+) with it and also normal use. It should make it through the day I think.

Where you get yours from... sounds ideal for sub R1000 phones.

so you reckon its a good upgrade from the aged galaxy s1 ?

i just tested antutu on mine and got 5323 points LOL ......

antutu says my cpu is poor :cry: but gfx is good.

It is pretty much a S1 with dual core CPU minus the 5mpx camera and flash. Comes with 4.2.2 stock so I would say it is on par or perhaps a little ahead of the S1,
 
I bough CameraZoom EX for my Smart Mini 4 as it has the ability to take pictures in the sensors native resolution of 2048x1536. The results is a bit better, less interpolation and compression artefacts are present in the images but the edges are a bit soft because of the cheap plastic lens.

It's brilliant, but I only bought it to see how much phone you get for R900, turns out plenty.
 
battery

I've had mine for a week now. Its draining battery at a shocking rate. I use it mainly for web surfing and less than 3 hours its flat. WiFi off, Bluetooth off, GPS off
 
Mine has been in the drawer for a few weeks now, planning to give it to my sister since she currently has a Galaxy Pocket (S5300). I think that would be a good test for it since she does use her phone a lot and is pretty hard on phones. Just waiting for the screen protectors to arrive, just look how good the phone looks in its new red silicone casing :
