Alcatel (the maker of the Vodafone 785) is now making an own branded version of this phone called the Pop C2.

really i made a nandroid backup and when the phone was bootloop the nandroid backup wasn't usefull...

No it is standard and pure android like on a Nexus, so 5 home screens is a fixed featured.

Install a 3rd party launcher, like ADW Launcher. It allows you to reduce the number of home screens.

Had a hard time finding some on ebay so SA would be even harder.

Maybe you can get a generic one for that same screen size and design

An Alcatel M'pop protector will fit, just punch a hole at the bottom for the mic.

1. Where can I buy a silicone cover?
2. Does a stylus work on it? I've tried 2 styli, and the 785 didn't respond.

Ebay is where I got my covers and protectors from. The plastic screen does not work with any stylus.

What ROM did you load once you rooted the phone?

I did not load a ROM, just rooted it to make use of the system app un-installer. The stock ROM is pure Android 4.2.2 so I have had no need to load another ROM.
