Official Vox DSL feedback thread

Okay so last year i left openweb, and joined Vox . I took the 200 gig fat pipe .

https://www.vox.co.za/adsl/fat-pipe-home-adsl/?prod=HOME here have a look... Then suddenly my account gets suspended. As you can see , from the advert . It clearly shows R159 even today!!! May the 2nd 2019 , and yes i have the screenshot for it . The reason my account was suspended ? For some reason and NOT advertised anywhere else , not even on their website it is now R171 pm .

I never received an sms telling me of the price change since last year , but i did receive sms's telling me how much bandwidth i had used and how much i had left . To their credit though their staff did help .

But still i was going on what was advertised and is still what is being advertised !!!! Which i think is BS , if it is advertised at that price and it has still not been change then what ? False advertising ? If it shown as R159 but i am being charge R171 pm . something is wrong can someone from Vox explain this ? I wonder how many other people may have made this mistake .

Hmmm

WOW you have a lot of tabs open on your browser...

Vox does usually increase prices annually but they don't always change the price for new customers. My suggestion would be to cancel your current capped account is just signup for the R159 one and add it to your same vox account.

Lots of tabs :)

I joined and the price was R159 , as yuo can see, but i am being charge more! I joined on the price shown but that is not what i am paying ... Hence my question , is this false advertising ? Post/adverrtise one price , dont change that price , but charge a higher price ...

Yeah I hear you but you probably got a price increase. Vox loves their annual price increase. In the control panel just cancel that account and signup for the new one on the website. Not ideal but would probably work. Otherwise mail them and ask why.

My 200gb FP price went up from R200 to R216 in Dec.. do have 1.3 Tb of rollover data..

Anyone else getting terrible international speeds at the moment?

Seems to be happening more and more often in the evenings between 8 and 10.

They did the same to me, when I signed up in November they upped it in Jan. They always state "our costs have increased" while offering the original price on their site, which is one of the main reasons I left them.

Yes, my reddit is slow as hell.
All tests show that it is not my exchange, router, etc.

Speedtests show all is well - except on the myBB speedtest app which shows that my ping is nearly double to the closest server (JHB).

Seems okay my side. I use Quad9 DNS and Google as backup and browsing is fine. Very snappy website loading. 200Mbps Openserve line.

Definitely seems to be something up with Vox somewhere (maybe only affecting ADSL??)

Switched to my 1gb AH test account - everything fine.

Switch back to Vox - double ping, slow international, etc.

I am on 10 mbps ADSL.

Sigh.

Orkney,North West. VDSL. Getting dialup speeds right now. Something broke

Whats up people. Does anyone else have issue in Cape Town area with Fiber/Adsl on vox?
I have 25 local latency with packet loss and just slow traffic

JHB is fine. Looks like Vox CPT IPC is the suspect.

Man what a mission for me to prove VOX that the issue lies on their side and not my router etc. This is second fight now in last 2 months

Yeah first line support won't understand when you prove it's IPC congestion because they just know router restart. One good thing about ISP's with reps here is they are usually a bit more tech savvy than 1st line support.

My Telkom and Vox accounts are struggling to reach 2Mbps on a 20Mbps line, friends having the same problem. Seems to be the same thing that happened in Cape Town
as last month.
